Thanks OP, i was looking at getting a 2nd one for upstairs. It's a great unit. Better than the Kracher Mops which I do have one which are very inconvenient. Dyson wet mops just much more convenient and easier to clean post use.

These are a PITA to clean, how much worse can it get?

    I’ll leave this here https://ibb.co/g3xfZfG

    • Anti tangle hair tool is one of the best things to come out of Dyson. I think you're supposed to do a quick vacuum before using the wet wash.

    • She returns it!
      Very expensive and NO SUCTION!
(the Damaged Box price is a necessity) and no steam or hot water.
It Is a not a good device.
Not very good on dry sticky messes, which can be done better manually.

  • In the real world, does this have a significant benefit over other ones, such as Bissell?
Like, does it leave the floor dryer after cleaning?

I have a tineco one and I'm happy with it (I floor5, can be got for 300). I can't see what more I would want out of it.

I have a corded bissel aswell (that i want re-sell)

The steam function can be useful, but not advisable on all floor types, it is easier to clean/has a more solid base tray.
The suggested amount of floor cleaner per tank is excessive (they probably make more profit then the machines)
Cons - the cord, does leave too much water for my liking, it is a skill to get it not leave small puddles everywhere, without going over it again.

While the dyson has very good/efficient water use - I use the bissel cleaner in the tank as it is low/no foaming.
It has a big head that is very maneuverable.
Cons - its a pain to clean each time, if you dont want any smell you need to deep clean it every time, and leave it all out to dry properly.
The roller heads do need regular replacement (6months for regular users)
The $1K RRP is not worth it, better value at $700

Ultimately I will keep using the dyson, as the cord free and experience while using is better. Maybe wait for a V2 model

That's a great price. Paid $720 including 2 extra rollers from Dyson direct back in April.

Works okay, certainly beats manual mop. The under tray is really loose, appears to be a common complaint, guess it's designed to be loose in order to scrape the rollers without excess wear, but it falls off too easily.

Drying after use is another thing to consider, it doesn't have drying function, if you don't want it to sink you have to remove the rollers to air dry.

If you remove the rollers to dry, then might as well rinse them under the tap, so the auto clean function is of little use.

That doesnt seem very convienant if you have to remove and touch the dirty head

  • Hows this compare to the likes narwhal S20 PRO?

  • Eufy s1 pro

  • I thought of buying this but after checking the reviews I bought the Shark Steam & Scrub. I know I still need to vacuum first. However everyone that tried the mop loved it. It just glides on our hard floor. After cleaning we put the pads in the washing machine. Really easy and much cheaper.
