  • The specs are impressive compared to the previous model.

  • Where is the exhaust on these? From the image it surely can't be coming from the top as there's insufficient space. I thought they traditionally used a top exhaust on most brands so they can fit in more spaces, like corners of rooms, also to avoid mixing the incoming and outgoing airflows.

How much are the filters on these? I have a xiaomi one and learnt the cost of maintenance the hard way :(

Like $150… Pretty costly.. Philips branded ones.

      • I was writing the comment just now. $150 for 2, $75 each and needs replacing each year. Not too bad.

        • I think will need to repalce 2 at the same time each year

            @priceOfire: Yeah… "The package includes 2 filters
Compatible models require both filters to be used simultaneously for optimal filtration performance. Simply insert one at the bottom of your air purifier, and the other one at the top."

      • $150 annually. Wow, that's a wild swing coming from the 3000i which needed one $70-80 filter replacement once every three years.

To be fair, the RRP of the 3000i filter is also $150, so maybe the price for these new filters will also drop over time. But even then it'd still be triple the running cost of the old model at best.

    • $159 at JBHIFI https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/philips-pureprotect-3200-…
XIAOMI Air 4, you might get it form Aliexpress for $30 ?

      • +2

No, its a Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Pro (AC-M3-CA ). The ones you are looking are probably not genuine either.

        • Yeah my Xiaomi filter is around 2 years old now and the filters were about $40 now up to around $60.

And sadly the fan bearing is losing it so on low speed it makes noise…

Nice, I posted the Philips 900 Mini deal (of which I bought 4). Have just picked up one of these as well & will delegate the mini's to the bedrooms where they have been doing a great job. I think the 3200 will suit my living area more.

Only downside I can see on this unit over them is the filters are significantly more expensive, although this one does claim to cover double the space & be able to wipe out covid 19.

Do some more research as there are better medical-grade devices available, in case you want peace of mind.

      • I've done research & not for the price there isn't. At least not in Air Purifiers made by trustworthy recognised brands.

I don't live in a vacuum, I understand viruses and bugs will get through in day to day life, but these devices do a very good job for the price.

How are you finding the 900s? Are they quiet enough to sleep with on in sleep mode?

      • Yeah, they are very quiet. Great little units. For the $179 Amazon is charging at the moment they are a steal for the bedroom. Filters are only $59 to replace as well. People used to complain there was no app, however the latest 900s Amazon is selling use the Air+ app just like this one.

  • Expired? I don’t see any voucher?

I don't get an Apply Coupon button. Is this maybe for Prime members only or something?

    399 and no coupon

Added to cart, was still shopping now coupon gone 🥹

No coupon, i have two of these and home and the smaller 900. It's pretty good. Clear cooking smells and dust pretty fast.

Best I could see (now) was $379.01 for the Dark Slate version on business prime. Actually they are both available at $371.01 + $371.21 respectively there. You have to click the other purchase options. Still no $279, hope that code comes back.

  • The filters on these are recommended to change every 12 months vs 3 years on the previous model. Seems like a downgrade to me?

  • I ordered one for $279 but might cancel it, if anyone in Sydney wants it for that price, PM me before I cancel.

  • Was able to apply the coupon for the 2025 black model. Paid $279

    • Thanks, I bought another
