  • So the discount code can be used for Qatar flights or on dining?

    • Dining is included on their flights, so flights :) Says you have 72 hours to use your code for your next adventure. (although nothing stopping you just opening a private tab and doing the steps again!)

    • my Qatar airways flights are all because of virgin points surprisingly they partner with Qatar with some international flights its great.

the promo code is already in that url … promoCode=QRC7QDMCLO

I went to the url with out the variables and it gave me a different code for 10% each time. https://www.qatarairways.com/html/redirect/QR/qverse/B787-9/…

Not sure if you can keep trying for 20%

      • Try using a different browser, or clear out Qatar cookies, quit then reopen the browser each time

I see that the discount does not really work. Searched flights with discount code (10%) and calculated the total price right at the end of the process. Then in another browser searched for the same dates and see no difference in the price. Is the discount applied right at the end?? I am confused, pages dont show any discount applied.

  • 10% off.

I picked the cheapest fare option to FCO return for 3. Total was almost $4.8k.

Then I tried the same but added the 10% coupon. Got a total of almost $4.7k.

      It’s a trap!

Did you untick the ‘Forced strip search’ option?

  • Qatar will quite often have an already “discounted” price on their fares, which the base fare is inflated. Assuming the discount is applied to the base fare, hence not coming out to the 10%/20% total

  • All airfares seem to have finally come down from the post Covid heights. As usual, you have to watch that the cheap fare actually includes a checked bag (if you need one) and isn't 50 hours long. Makes searching on a comparison flight difficult.

I'm going Melbourne to London tomorrow and it can be done for about $1200 return, but with horrible flight conditions.

  • P.S. - The promo code is only valid for 72 hours.

  • Booked flights last night to London for Easter 2026. Just checked using code to see if there is any difference, and with or without code looks to be the same price. One variation I did find was having destination London to specify a Teenage fare which was about $200 less than the adult fare. Also used the Book By 12 August 2025 link on the homepage to get the cheaper fares.

    • Great saving!

  • Has anyone gotten anything but 'Unlock up to 10%' off at this stage?

Qatar has sydney to doha 70,000 points + tax (business saver), if you choose Virgin VA1 it's a guaranteed Qsuite flight.
Doha to euro economy class is about 21,500 points + tax

    • In the world of Qatar “guaranteed” still unfortunately just means they will offer their Qsuite guarantee where you can change your flight if you get “Qatar’d. It’s getting better but still happens

      • That's true but this is slightly different from the Qsuite guarantee.
Virgin VA1 doesn’t offer a guarantee, but it’s marketed as being fitted with Qsuite.

        • Yeah of course! I’ve had a total of 8 Qsuite flights marketed a Qsuite with only being done once a with a swap to an older 777 DOH > MEL. As far as we’re aware there haven’t been swaps on VA1/2 yet. a good 70% of their 777 have Qsuite so the odds are high. But with 30% still not, there is always a chance. But they do let you swap still if it does happen!

          • @toby95: Have you travelled to Europe via Doha on separate bookings? Qatar Airways doesn’t allow connecting flights with VA1/2, so I was wondering if the airport check-in can link your luggage directly to the final destination and if both boarding passes can be given….

            • @tc423: Unfortunately all have mine have been booking all the way through. I know Qantas offer a “booking link” where you can check bags through, I’d be surprised if Qatar don’t offer something similar, unfortunately the codeshare VA1/2 might catch you out though, for some reason airlines become “less accommodating” with codeshare. They do have a connection service in Doha I believe, so with enough of a layover, anything is doable!

https://booking.qatarairways.com/nsp/rest/getPromotionCodeFo… is the api endpoint, sends a post with the jwtSessionData

The JWT encryption is via javascript https://www.qatarairways.com/html/redirect/QR/qverse/jwt-enc…

The function is called with the below

    createJwtToken("meal-preference" === Se ? je.ancillaries.data.mealPreferencePublicKey : "upgrade-trip" === Se ? je.ancillaries.data.upgradeTripPublicKey : "extra-baggage" === Se ? je.ancillaries.data.extraBaggagePublicKey : "lounge-access" === Se ? je.ancillaries.data.loungeAccessPublicKey : "error", "meal-preference" === Se ? je.ancillaries.data.mealPreferenceSharedKey : "upgrade-trip" === Se ? je.ancillaries.data.upgradeTripSharedKey : "extra-baggage" === Se ? je.ancillaries.data.extraBaggageSharedKey : "lounge-access" === Se ? je.ancillaries.data.loungeAccessSharedKey : "error", JSON.stringify({pnr: K, lastName: Ce }), 1e3, "QR.com"))}

    Without anything set this becomes:

    createJwtToken("meal-preference" === "error", "meal-preference" === "error", JSON.stringify({pnr: null, lastName: null }), 1e3, "QR.com"))}

I assume if there's preferences set, lounge access eligibility, etc (such as if logged in? I assume?) it may provide a different code. Too lazy to analyse the difference between the public and shared keys, but very likely at least one of the two relates to logging in and one to something else (maybe randomised too)

Maybe changing meal on the touch screen changes meal preference in public or shared, which could render a different code, for example.

tl;dr: Bruteforcing / retrying is likely insanity and won't work (I assume it bases it on those values above), BUT trying different things may work. Logged in/out, playing around with the activities on the page, etc.

As OP predicts, I think what experience, meals, etc you select first are apart of the predictability of the randomisation. I think the second part is your logged in account data (if logged in).

  • Found a code F1FANS for “up to 12% off” in my app, worth checking both codes to see if it is 2% more off

Edit: only around the dates and destinations of races, damn

I searches a few places and it comes down to the same price without 10% discount… so yeah, their normal price is just inflated!😑
