I remember some bloke on Youtube saying that this is a great very low budget projector. Probably good for a bedroom date night type thing.

So it's not a good deal then. Considering $127 now
ANSI lumens?
Can it do something decent like >700 ANSI lumens? There are so many around $200 on Amazon that claim to do it. Would be good enough for a dark room, 100" screenExtremely doubtful.
These usually come down to about $100 with the discount codes. Had a look couple of weeks ago.
Android or google tv?
Bought this exact model, just like the last 3 i've had. Great and decently compact. Stopped working after 3 or 4 months.
Differentiator with this one was it was USB 3.0 compatible which was handy
Are they replacing it?
They said I had to return it first before they sent out another one. I declined and said what would i use in the mean time. After a little they got back to me saying i could keep the faulty device and they would give me credit for a new one.
The everycom hq10w is better for $250-$400. The Magcubic HY320 or HAQU K2 for $100-$150.
I can only see this fro $300 USD on Aliexpress, where can it be had for $250-$400 AUD?
There's also a Chinese variant of the projector that's cheaper, but the I think the processor is weaker other than that it's the same.
Ty I think I will go with the Magcubic HY320 from Ali for now and then if I find I use a projector/want a brighter one will upgrade to the Everycom :)
@spasticspeaker: In that case you should read the 4pda thread for the Magcubic HY320 (use Google translate). You should also check out the list for the best budget projectors on the market.
@SarcasticEmu: Thanks for the link to 4pda. It's a knowledge base for a whole lot of chinese projectors.
@skid: No worries. The main subforum for projectors is on the site. In addition you also have these subs:
And you can search for PC monitors by Googling:

Date night with my sock :)
If you can get this at under $100 when there is a Prime Sale etc, it's definitely the best projector for it's price. It's extremely bright with around REAL 250~ ANSI lumens when you compare it to others in the same price range, pair it with an Amazon Firestick, and you've got yourself a really good bedroom projector at a budget.
This projector is fantastic, especially considering I only paid $97 for it in May 2023. The quality is impressive!
