  I had one of these bags for a brief stint. If you didn't ensure the rear laptop compartment wasn't fully closed and both zippers weren't off to the side. The entire bag would unfold and flop down.

      The laptop sleeve is at the back …..not the front. But the "flopping open" can still occur depending on what's in the front of it.

    Yep same thing happened to me, times exactly when i was late running for the bus.

    Otherwise it's a great bag - mine lasted 6 years at full capacity but i abused it to the point the zips broke
