Been hassling Mostly Melbourne for weeks about when the rebranded ZMI QB826G was going to arrive and finally got the message today.

I'm told the new models are also going to be on sale too - looks pricing is already live on the MM website but the listings are not live on Amazon yet.

Anyway, pretty sure this is cheaper than ZMI QB826 has ever been.. or one of. Always missed these deals cause they sell out but finally got myself one.

I know. What does QB826G mean anyway?

  • Interesting, even cheaper than the official deal/announcement posted 4h-ish ago?

    • Oh I actually didn't see that.. maybe I should delete this post.

They have this deal in that post anyway.

      • looks like one is the global version and the other is the non-global version?
Not sure what the difference is though if any?

Thank you for posting! We also have a bunch of other products with discounts:)

  • Is this really a rebrand or a lower tier model from ZMI?

    • +3

Something to do with trademark dispute in China, ZMI rebranded to Cuktech.

Basically all their products going forward will be branded Cuktech.

  • I’d rather stick to a company that scores a W like Anker

    W Anker.

I think ZMI is a pretty reputable brand, pretty sure the QB826 is one of OzBargains favourite.

But sure I like Anker too, I’m also team W Anker.

  • No 3c on this yet, do you know when stock with the marking on it will arrive?

the name of the brand sounds similar to “cook tech.” The name is a reference to the Ćuk circuit, a type of voltage converter proposed by Serbian engineer and inventor Slobodan Ćuk in 1976.

    Now it makes sense.

  • Love the old ZMI product, but not buying anything branded CUKTECH on the side :(
