Hi all, brilliant wet dry vacuum at the lowest price it has been (not ATL). $369 if you still have your $10 coupon.

I have the S6 which I purchase for a lot more but this looks to be a good bargain. Great for those who have pets. Imo the debris compartment is easier to clean and empty compared to the Dyson G1. YMMV.

  • looks good! hows the comparison to the hizero?

    • Does hizero use steam?
It does not, which means for certain delicate timber floors that the hizero is better, but steam has a cleaning benefit too.
As a plugged in cleaner, the Tineco does have a lot of steam cleaning ability.
I can only speak for the Tineco, as long as the cleaning fluid (95% water) has low suds or you use a mixture of vinegar and meths and a couple of drops of dish-washing liquid, you get steam, mopping and chemical cleaning.

  • How good is this as a normal vacuum? Also, do they make a different roller head that just vacuums carpet?

a big NO as an alternative to vacuum for carpet. On hard surfaces like floors and tiles, its fine.

I do use it on carpet just fine.
I can't speak to delicate hand knotted rugs and the like, but commercial carpet is fine.
    Even high wool content ones.
It gets rid of built up cat fur.
Not a carpet cleaning vacuum, but the surface is cleaned and steamed fine.
    I am not a carpet-cleaning expert.

do you have this model or the steam one? I have both. rugs fine and prob commercial carpet. but i still go for my miele catndog for my residential carpet! i sometime use the steam function though on carpet at times…. these tineco were not designed for carpets although if u insist for light duty. they will tend to leave carpet wet.

edit: if you read the tineco website.. the floor tineco cannot be used for dry vacuuming, which is what the person was i assumingly was asking.

      edit edit:
      Tineco faq response.
"The Floor one can't be used without water for dry vacuuming. It will cause damage to the brush roller. Ideally you should use the Floor One with tap water to automatically adjust solution and clean water flow to ensure an ideal cleaning result."

      • Thank you for the clarification.

I wouldnt recommend a tineco, if you look them up on the vacuums subreddit, theres a lot of longevity complaints such as motor dying and charging issues. I myself experienced charging issues as the ports rusted over. I sold mine after it was repaired and got a Dreame, no issues with rust over a year in. It also has the s7 features for half the price, such as edge to edge both sides and self drying.
