We had this brand when having our first baby…it was ok. For the 2nd child we sold it and bought a secondhand lazeboy rocker and it is a million times better.
My wife particularly had issues clicking the foot rear down on this post C section, where the lever on the lazeboy was much easier.
Normally iL Tutto recommends electric recline for post c-section
Doesn't help if unplanned, but also a very tight mechanism in general. Even a few months post still struggled.
The chair was fine, there are just better cheaper options.
Fair enough!
I don't think there are better cheaper options for most customers when comparing a new Il Tutto to a secondhand La-z-boy that is not available all the time and not for everyone and in variable condition.
Comparing to a new version is also apple to oranges when the latter costs twice as expensive.
@BlueGlowOne: Not once did I compare new to new, but for reference on marketplace within 15km there are half a dozen chairs that would suit. I doubt I would ever buy one new.
As I said, the chair was ok and I didn't dive down into negatives as there were a couple of things other than price and functionality aside that would stop my buying it. I bought mine for closer to 900 and sold for 600ish once we didn't need (almost right on 9 months). Our kid we used it for was big and the armrests are hard so it just wasn't comfortable to use.
For my last kid I picked up a great quality lazyboy for 300, wife found another she liked in a better colour for 300 too, so sold the first for 300 and bought the second for 300. The chair here serves little purpose post baby times but the lazyboy will make a fine reading chair once baby is old enough. We are still using it at 13 months as still super comfortable.
There are a lot of 'must haves' that new parents are sold and really there are only 2 hype items I bought into and used for a few or my kids - a snoo and baby Brezza bottle maker.
I have this exact chair, wife was very happy to have it.
My wife wasn't fully on board to justify the cost, but once we had it up in our living room she was so grateful. Good for me to get some extra brownie points too.
Thanks Wilociraptor - we are proud of our nursing chairs and have tens of thousands of happy customers! Well done on the brownie points - I hope you get to sit on it too? ;-)
Hi OP, do you have this in beige by any chance? Thank you
Sorry - no, just the pure grey
Hi OP, any chance you can tell us when this deal ends? I'm hoping my wife could try this chair in store.
Running until end of August or until stock runs out - we have a decent amount. Can't promise but should be fine until after this weekend? The most similar in terms of feel is the Chelsea in Baby Bunting if there isn't a stockist near you
Wife got this with the second kid and said she wishes she got it for the first too. Loves feeding in it.
She had a C section and was fine using it after she did the initial recovery in her bed.
Sister in law got the electric one and reckons if you can afford that, go for it as it's even better
Thanks for your feedback and agree - if you can stretch the electric is awesome!
We have 2x Quinn recliners and they were fantastic for when our kids were infants. Very comfy so we've kept them as ordinary furniture (a hit with the grandparents) as they're modern and stylish and blend in with wifey's preferred decor.
Thanks @Captain Yobbo - same here, perfect for chilling with a movie or the footy once the feeding age has passed!
Any good discounts for electric ones?
Keep an eye out on the website mid month ;-)
hi op
how long will this discount run? we are interested but we won't have a chance to try in person at Baby Bunting until tuesday
Hi Eric - until the end of the month
Just so you know - Baby Bunting doesn't have this specific chair - very similar feel to the Chelsea or Willow
Any deals on the Louie chair?
Sorry Legend279, not at this stage
Thanks ordered!
Thanks for your custom anthony696
Wow that's a good deal
