  • Lightweight…gulp. You will regret every gram of this purchase if you plan to carry it in a backpack.

    • yeah 1.25kg seems a bit heavy for a chair of this design. you want under 1kg

We also stock the Helinox Chair Zero, weighing just 490g and priced at $175.95. While the Equip has a bit more weight, it’s still a great option for shorter trips where space and pack weight aren’t as critical. It packs down nice and small, making it easy to keep in the car and pop up whenever needed.

        • true. helinox is a game changer

        • Still a bad deal sadly given all the competitive options. There are lighter options at same price as other commenters point out.

And yes Helinox zero is light but the comfort is not ideal. Love it, have it, but it is not the universal answer.

I bought this and I'm happy

    • Great to hear! We've had lots of positive feedback on this chair, and I’ve been enjoying mine as well.

RRP price defs a joke at $20 less than the Helinox chair one.

  • The Helinox Chair One is an excellent option, weighing just 890 grams.

FYI 1.25kg is heaps for this sort of thing. The aldi one (when it comes up) is about 850g and cost $20. There are similar mountain designs/anaconda ones for around the $50 that are the apparently exactly the same weight as the aldi one (probably same factory out of china).

Finally I have the helinox version fo this chair and it's ridiculously uncomfortable. I'd rather just not carry 500g (or 1.25kg) and just sit on the floor. Otherwise there are cheap and lighter foam pads lol. Not trying to be neg, just the reality of it all. I do shop at Wild earth a bit, the clearance sales sometimes have good stuff in there!

  • one year ago, Coles Four Seasons hiking chair at clearance @$5, they pretty good. 1.1kg with 120kg capacity.
