Love these. The battery life is absolutely ridiculous.

Not noise cancelling, but doesn't really bother me.

    • +1

      good or bad ridiculous?

      • +4

I bought a pair April last year and I use them a lot. I've definitely charged it less than 10 times.

      • +3

        Good!

Haven't changed them since I bought them 2-3 months ago.

Down to around 50% battery last week.

Hundred ish? Hours of use on PS5 and movies.

    • -3

they are pretty bad sounding and dont last long for the pads i have these

  • +1

Wearing these rn, absolute beauts, wouldn't buy anything else.

    • +3

      What else are you wearing

      • +5

Pay me $5 a month to find out, it's 75% for a limited time only.

  • which cashback company?

    • -2

'Cashback' button under 'Go to Deal's has some options.

      • +1

never knew about that button cheers

      • +1

wait, why the neg on the deal?

        • +2

Complete accident no idea how I managed to do that
          Unnegged. Geez.

  • +8

They are good I just dont know why they stuck with such a ghetto mic option rather than having one of those cool flip up to mute options that doesnt get in your way when your not using it. Now I just unplug the mic every time I dont use it as its always getting in the way

    • The mic is made of some bendy material - just fold it up?

      • It doesn't bend far tbh its a weird mic I tried bending it to the side etc

    • +1

Yeah this is really my only pet peeve with this headset.

Flip up would have been game changer.

So, I'm in a disaster zone of NSW currently, so 4G is not at its best. Not that it is any good at the best of times, eff you Telstra, Optus and previous federal government equally

And my pihole is currently down

But that HP website is maybe the most cancerous website of all time

    • idk why ur getting negged but I was facing the same thing, tried like every device and browser.

Using safari on my iphone let me finally place an order.

  • This does not have the Bluetooth.

    • Why people saying battery life is so good if it's not wireless lol nvm I'm a idiot

    • Google - HyperX Cloud Mix Wired Gaming Headset with Bluetooth and JB have the BT version available online for $169

      • There's no stock of that model

Bought these from HP last time it was on sale. With these, I'm definitely hearing footsteps much better in CS2 than my friends with their Logitech G Pro and the top of the line Steeleries (I forget the name). Comfortable for a full-day gaming sesh. I can't comment on the mic much as I still use an external, but from the very little testing I did when I first got them, mates said voice was clear over Discord and in-game CS2. Battery life is extremely impressive and makes me wonder how we can't get the same level of battery in other headphones.

Don't bother with the virtual surround sound and the special drivers - most games have great stereo now and the virtualized surround sounds cheap. Highly recommend for gaming.

Do be aware that despite loving these - the faux leather coating does peel and flake off after 2-3 years, maybe faster if you're a sweaty person…even still mine have been going for 6-7 years and still feel very comfortable.

Alternative is velor pads - https://amzn.asia/d/1chphmk

      • +1

I just peeled off the plastic off and rocking the fabric underneath.

      • Very nice - the headband cushion unfortunately is made of the same stuff, but its not a big deal imo

Bought the wired version of these back in 2021 and they're pretty good. I swapped to koss kph30i's (now updated to something else) and the koss is much much better, especially if you're keeping an ear out for footsteps etc. as someone above is.

Mind you the kph30i has been updated and yes I understand I'm comparing a wired open back unit to a BT closed back set…butthat doesn't matter if you can't hear those footsteps…

  • I have the older non wireless version. Excellent quality headset, very immersive sound and comfortable for long periods.

  • Never looked back after getting a pair of Jabra - built as an office headphone, which is also perfect for gaming.

    • Which Jabras did you get? I'm after a headset for the office myself

      • I have the Jabra Evolve2 40, but will upgrade to the 65 (wireless) next. But these things last forever - my last pair lasted 10 years.

  • Any ideas on how to get them even cheaper other than cashback?

  • Are these the better HyperX from HP? My Cloud II is falling apart and due for an upgrade

    • Its not an upgrade, it is on different category.

Alpha has better battery life, and better build. But if you playing competitive games, cloud II are far better to hear where your enemy coming from.

    • I've gone to the Cloud 3 from Cloud 2. Great fit and considerably lighter

  • How’s battery life with everyday PC use?

    • Battery life is insane, I used them 8-9 hours a day consistently during covid and I'd only have to charge them once every month. Still wearing them right now and get two months per charge though I use them a lot less than before.

    • Best battery life headset I have ever used so far.

I expect battery to degrade like with any wireless device but honestly I cannot find a better battery life gaming headset with more life than this.

Honestly I think there is no longer battery life headset.

Feels very nice never hearing the battery low sound ever again like I did with my $79 HyperX Cloud Stinger Core which I should really just sell but am keeping around as backup but that thing would die in less than a day of usage.

  • Does anyone have these that can comment on its Sidetone capabilities? I find it difficult to speak sometimes in action packed games where I cannot hear my own voice to know how loud I'm speaking.

    • Yes, it has inbuilt sidetone

  • +1

Ps5 gamers should consider headphones with simultaneous wireless 2.4ghz and Bluetooth connectivity so you can get discord going with the same headset.

    • Is discord not on PS5 yet? Or is it there but the integration sucks?

  • Very good price very very good battery life I think best in the world aka the longest.

I bought these from Amazon AU for $210 AUD in December 2024.

    Still do not regret it.

Charges via usb type c just grab a super long usb c cable and keep it near for ease of charging.

    That's what I do.

  • OOS. Too late, damn!

  • How does this compare to beats studio pro wireless?
