iphone 12 mini is now too small for eyeballs
Would like medium size rather than plus.
No need for fancy cameras or high processing power
Whats the cheapest outright should I be looking for?

Looking to get the base model for like 800 to 1k?
Short term, go into settings and change font size to a larger one, I think there's an option to make icons larger in the same part of the settings too.
Yes thats the answer:
Settings\Display & Brightness\
Then set Text Size to the maximum
Also Turn on Bold text
That is what works for me and has done even on the iPhone 8 and SE 2022
You can try "ZOOM - Larger text" (at the bottom) as well but not necessary if you do the above

A refurb from Phonebot.
They have a storefront in Melbourne so you can check them out before you buy.
Will Dan help make a choice
Is it near the statue of Dan? Would be worth visiting if it is.
Of course it’s too big, greatest Premier we ever had.
Only fitting he takes out the Montague St Bridge on the way to immortality.
@jv: Take it up with Jeff Kennett if you don't like it, there's only a statue because of the rules he made. Funny how Dan qualified and Jeff didn’t. Almost poetic.
Phonebot lol do they choose for you
No, you can select your own and try before you buy.
Which Mobile company do they use?
Vodaphone have a deal on iPhone 16 for $999
I wouldn’t suggest the 16e
I compared it with my father’s 15 and it’s lacking in a few ways. The screen feels cheap and the camera quality. He ended up getting a 16 pro which he likes but it is a bit heavy
The 17 is coming out in a month or two. There is a suggestion that there will be a 17 air version which would be light weight. Depending on cost it maybe a better option
"I wouldn’t suggest the 16e" + "The screen feels cheap"
OP is talking about someone who has trouble reading their iPhone 12 screen. I doubt their eyes will be able to notice the lower quality screen.
12 mini, to be fair though. It's quite small.
Its more the touch response I was referring to. i think paying an additional $100 for a regular 16 is better. The camera is better on the 16 as well.
Came here to say this. Assistive access is excellent.
iPhone 16e right now.
iPhone 16 when the 17 releases next month.
