9g is massive? Each bar is 40g. It has about the same if not less sugar content as 70% dark chocolate given the same weight.
These things are delicious and can definitely be worked in a healthy diet as a treat. They aren't marketed as a protein bar for gym goers with malitol ect as sweeteners. They are standard sweet nut bars with a higher protein content.
The standard salted caramel one only has ~3.5g sugar, but it's not as tasty as this one.

It's less sugar than eating Lindt dark chocolate varieties. Moser Roth dark chocolate varieties also.

Agree with you mate, 9g isn't much, and this is a perfectly acceptable item if it fits your macros. Something that can satisfy that chocolate craving for 200cals, paired with a bit of protein actually sounds quite decent.
To be fair..it doesn't say "Super healthy protein bar" and has "Caramel" in the title. Pretty safe assumption it has a higher content of sugars than some other nut style bars.

It's pretty clearly not a low calorie, high protein bar. No one is getting tricked by this.
I will admit, 8g of protein per bar is pretty low
I think this is a bulking bar for dessert after a meal or as a snack to hit calorie targets. 40g nut bar slathered in chocolate and salted caramel and instant 200cals. One in the morning and one in the evening will net you 400cals

Actually, Musashi 45g bars are $4.13 at Chemist Warehouse - that's $0.09 per gram of protein, almost beating this deal. They do taste mostly like chalk though.
Optimum 100% Gold in 2.27kg tubs works out to be $0.07/g of protein, bulk WPC is about $0.06/g
