Uber One Regional Pricing

Anyone tried uber one regional pricing? Apparently it’s around $22 AUD a year in turkey.

It use to not work (had to buy uber one in each country when travelling and it only worked in that country), but just noticed my UK account uber one now works in Australia too.

In theory region hacks could work, resulting in $22 a year for membership

You don’t necessarily get all the benefits though, like the 5% credit only applies in the country your account is based. What benefits does the turkey account have that carry over to Australia?

What benefits does the turkey account have that carry over to Australia?

      I doner know.

    • Yeah on my recent trip to Europe none of the benefits like the 5% credit or free delivery etc applied once I had left Australia.

    • I haveUber One and was recently in the US
I earned the 5% credit on all my trips and eats orders howver the credit could only be used in Aus

      • That's what I meant, the 5% credit (if you get it) would only be able to be used in the country your account is from, in this case Turkey. You can collect the credits in some countries, though it varies. It's still not certain you'd get credit anyways. I have Australian Uber One and an Uber for Business account and didn't get credit in Japan or South Korea, though other Uber One benefits applied (like only top rated drivers for example). A Turkey account if it gave the 5% credit for rides taken in Australia, would only let you use the credit in Turkey. So I don't see what the benefit would be for OP?

  • I cancelled my annual uber one a few weeks back, it expires in a few days, and I had a banner there today to re-subscribe for a year for 60% off, $38.40 and I accepted. It’s about as much as I would pay for a year .

  • I'm getting free 6 months of uber one from commbank so even cheaper lol

    • I keep missing these deals by weeks because I have UberOne already, sucks lol

Also I can't flip accounts because I have my Victoria transport concession linked (50% off ubers)

      • You can always use different accounts for Uber eats and Uber rides.

I definitely wouldn't risk signing up to Turkish Uber one with Victoria transport concession card linked tho. Easy way for them to cancel

        • Fair point, miss out on the 6% back though for uber rides

Victoria transport concession linked doesn't matter too much, their system is that janky I doubt they even know what you have linked. Only applies the discount for trips starting and ending in Victoria btw.
