I don't know how I've not heard of Banishers, it looks right up my alley of action-rpgs.

Just started playing through it as it's currently on PS Plus. Enjoying it more than I thought I would. Combat isn't amazing but it is good. RPG elements are fairly light but there is some choice. The game is mainly linear but there is some metroidvania elements and side quests.

The story is the real shining part. I'm only about 5 hours in so don't know how well it will hold up, but so far I'm really liking it. Characters are interesting and the story is taking some interesting turns.

Thanks, just watched a couple of review videos and they all echo the same sentiment.

I just finished playing COE33, so I'll need to lower my expectations to avoid disappointment. I'll go in without expecting much if I do end up playing Banishers. I do enjoy story-focused games though, and interesting turns has me intrigued.

    • Access to Aksun playtest (Aug 8–29) has been added to the bundle.

Price is worth it for Persona 5 Royal alone.

Although Banishers and Lil Gator Game are also nice additions.

Lil Gator Game is very cozy game, anyone that like A Short Hike would love this

  • Seeing how last month's Choice dropped to 10 USD, do you think this bundle will drop later in the month or is it better to buy it now?

    • +1

Almost always gets discounted later in the month if you can be bothered waiting.

      • -1

And you then have to contend with never getting a key as they've run out..

It is called Humble CHOICE for a reason.. lol

        • Yeah I remember a WB bundle ran out… do they restock exhausted keys?

          • +1

            @PapaGs Deals: Sometimes, not always.

            • @KillBotFactory: Surely they can’t advertise you can get this game but then say “out of stock” when you go to claim

              • +1

@FireRunner: There are plenty of posts about this sort of thing in the sub-reddit. One guy bought the Sniper Elite bundle and only 1 of the keys was available immediately. This early on, they should all be available though. Later in the month, don’t count on it.

      • Did not know the price drops later in the month, so around 28 of August?

        • +5

The price drops with targeted emails to existing accounts that have previously been subscribed and are no longer. The discounts are not transferable, they are specific to individual accounts.

Whether there is a discount at the end of the month typically seems to depend on how well received a bundle has been. This one has been pretty well received so I wouldn't count on seeing a discount code.

It's therefore worth buying a month and then unsubscribing to wait to see if a discount email comes out, or not, each month if you are planning to take advantage of this.

The emails are typically sent a week before the release date, which in Australia is the Wednesday after the first Tuesday of the month.

    • I think they only offer the voucher/discount if the bundle is not very popular.

I suspect this bundle will be one of the more popular ones because of Persona 5 Royal.

All redeemed however I dont see any thanks.

Damn that was quick. I guess the ole puzzle trick doesn’t slow things down as much now that everyone has access to AI. Might have to get people to DM or something next time.

        Thanks for notifying

Getting P5R included here is hella wild! Defs a worthwhile grab, should be nice on Steam Deck

  • +1

This is also a great time to grab the keys you want from other sources without subscribing to humble bundle.

  • Why does my "classic" plan ($15USD) cost more than the regular monthly subsriber cost ($21 AUD)

    • +1

For reference the "classic" plan used to be USD$12/month or USD$96/year. They've upped the price this month. You should have received an email from HB about the price changes.

      • Do you get all the games with a normal subscription? Just wondering why I’m on this legacy plan if it is going to cost me more.

  • +1

If you're planning on getting the Warner Brothers bundle as well, you can add the choice membership to your cart there for 5% off. Takes this down to $19.90.

  • If I want these games, do I just sign up as a member (paying $20.95) and I get them for free?

Do I cancel at the end of the month so I don't get charged $20.95 for September's games?

    • Correct! Pay the fee, reveal the game keys, cancel before the month is up to avoid being charged for the following months HB Choice.
