Is this the 'easter show' of Melbourne??

    • +4

No, Easter is the same time in Melbourne as other cities.

        Copycats

        • from Ballarat.

    • No. The Easter Show is the Ekka of Sydney.

Whats 8ncluded in the "ticket" if rides are to be purchased separately?

    • There are a lot of things to do at the show. You can visit the pavilions, visit the animals and watch live shows. A lot of people buy show bags, but they are a rip-off

It's a full day's worth of entertainment and is a great day out. Last year, there was a laser light and fireworks show at night, which was one of the best shows I've seen and yes, I have seen quite a few fireworks shows.

You can do the show in a cheap way and have a great day out, e.g. avoid show bags, avoid rides and bring your own food. But yes, it can become a very expensive day if you decide to do otherwise.

I'm sure the OzBargain community will have quite divided views about the Royal Melbourne Show though.

      • I’ll just watch the fireworks from outside the place to save entry fee if that’s a highlight. Feels like price for this is a lot more to what I remember it being.

        • The best part about the fireworks show was that it was combined with the laser show, which you won't be able to see it from the outside

Please note that this is my opinion of last year's show and is not a reflection of the show this year (as it might be different)

      Whats 8ncluded in the "ticket"

      COVID, Flu A/B and RSV.

      • Foot-and-mouth & Avian influenza too…. Depending on the pavillions you visit…

  • No $15 tickets like last year?

      I haven't found them yet

Entry Should be Free or at least subsidised by the goverment .. become such an irrelevant event.
They would make heap more money by having more foot traffic buying showbags, rides, food etc.
