        • far out i just checked one thing, 7 days japan 1gb per day
          klook $13.50 another one $12.xx

Finally a good deal that allows TikTok and ChatGPT, unlike the usual deals you see here

      [About APN]

If you need to use TikTok and ChatGPT, please switch APN. If you do not have this requirement, you do not need to do anything. The network speed will be more stable when using the original APN.

      So this may impact speed?

  • Anyone used one of these in northern Vietnam? Got 6 days there in September, so seeking some user experiences.

    • Comment below says not 5g in Vietnam, but there is another option if u don’t need multi country, vietnam 5g option here

  • +1

    Routes via HK

    • Guess that explains [this]. Surprised there's a workaround just by changing APN though

  • Hi, just note for Vietnam its not 5g and for china I have got 5g in a lot of places but at same time I got a LTE

  • Any Seoul ?

      • Thanks, looks cheal

      • So the sim is expired in 90 days once activated ? What about if not activated, any expire date of the sim ?

        • +1

No, the eSIM expires 90days after purchase, it only last the amount of days you choose once activated, so if you purchased 10days it will expire in 10days once activated

    • Hey Seoul sister

  • question please. can i buy esim from klook or/and this Trip, but from outside of australia? ie in japan, USA, etc ( worst case scenario).
or we have to buy it here before flying? if the requirement is just wifi, no problem.

    • +1

Yeah can buy from outside Australia, had no issue with trip.com, received the activation email immediately after purchase

      • +1

thanks! going to have short 6 days trip so my plan is to use that 3gb free from roamless first, and see what happen worst case will just buy this Trip deal if run out

        • +1

Nice, enjoy, the free 3gb will probably be enough for 6days

  • +1

Is this always the price or this a special price for a short time only?

just checking as I am travelling in 80 days so deciding if I should buy now or get it closer to time.

    Thanks

    • +1

It’s probably their normal deals but who knows if prices will change up too 80days, probably do some comparisons against others if it’s much cheaper just buy it sooner rather than later

mobi matter have some good prices also & an app to monitor usage

    • Some of the prices are due to the special 5% off deal they have going on which ends Oct 31, 2025.

      • Yeah I had the original prices in header but mods updated it with the discount price

Thinking about getting this plan for Malaysia.

Is it me or the reviews from here are duplicates and repeats over and over? Is it fake review or what? Plus quiet a few reviews are not good.

      • Wouldn’t be worried, I’m using the one in original post now in Malaysia, works perfect 5g, would have got this one wacko linked as cheaper if I’d seen it

        • +1

          Thank you

  • So hard to find good deals for South America

  • What's the OzB-approved solution for non-esim phones? esim.me? 5ber?

    • -2

      Buy new phone with esim

    • travelkon

      • I used travelkon on a trip to Tokyo a couple of years ago; it worked on and off. I was never really sure whether it had run out (no way to check). When it would stop working, and I thought it had, it would come back on later. I had taken 2 SIMs — one for myself and one for the dame (and none for the boy who cried down the lane) — and admittedly I blew through mine on the 1st day by failing to adjust my phone's data consumption (hence why I was never sure whether I had fully adjusted it, or there was some data leak somewhere). I wonder whether eSIM wouldn't be a better solution, in case I blow up through a plan, and can more easily replace it with another.
