    Cocobella all the way

I tried these Raw C once and they were bitter and not sweet. I’m not 100% sure if Cocobella have any added ingredients but they do taste considerably better.

That's normal, the flavour fluctuates slightly depending on the season. Its the drinks with chemicals that always result in a consistent taste. You'll find that high quality orange juice can be sweet or more bitter too, whilst the crap stuff will always have a consistent sweet taste.

Keep in mind that Raw C is from Vietnam, Cocobella is from Thailand and the tastes differ between country. Although these Vietnam coconuts are supposed to be sweeter, so I'm not sure.

        Thai Coconut Water:
Generally known for a delicate, aromatic flavor and a firmer texture. While not as intensely sweet as some Vietnamese varieties, it's favored for certain culinary applications and is known for its refreshing qualities.

        Vietnamese Coconut Water:
Often sweeter and more refreshing than Thai coconut water, with a superior taste and texture. Vietnamese coconuts are particularly popular for fresh consumption and are considered a "nature's sports drink" due to their perceived health benefits.

yeah that is fair. I do also wonder if something is done to the cocobella stuff, but it definitely has ~5g more sugar per serving, and as you mention it's from a different country so that could be part of it too.

As solidice mention, there could also be chemicals, though none of it is printed on either packaging so I am not 100% sure.

    • yaa I've always found Cocobella to be better

    • +2

Nah, this and Tipco are the ones to get. Cocobella tastes like its 99.999 % diluted with water, so very bland.

      • +2

Yeah this one tastes close to real coconut water.

Looks like I am the only one here prefer raw c over cocobella. thanks op

    • Nope, my family prefers Raw C too

I have my own coconut farms overseas and find the raw coconut water from fresh coconuts tastes more like RawC and I feel cocobella is absolute crap. So yes my preferred brand is RawC . Even h2O is better than cocobella.

could be the type/variety of coconuts ?

    • +1

I have had raw coconut fresh water in my home country (younger days) and always found raw c taste better than cocobella.
I assume the coconut water flavour is also acquired taste and been drinking it since childhood, I tend to lookout for a similar taste.

    • for me raw c is much better, compared to any other brand I tried in australia.
the others usually taste like coconut (sweet and sometimes as if coconut flavouring was added) instead of plain refreshing coconut water

      • wouldnt that be a lawsuit waiting to happen. big coco

    H2COCO so much better

  • +2

Shout out to all the dudes who drink these.

Or as they otherwise might be know, raw C men

  • Thanks OP. While taste is a matter of preference, I prefer this over other brands

  • Doesn't let me S&S for some reason. I prefer Tipco, it's much sweeter though
