  • Do you own one of these op?

    • I do. Bought it years ago. Quite happy with it but the tool kit is a little small. It's my go to for basic tools but I have other tool sets to compliment it (far bigger).

  • This is pretty small.

Paid $299 3 years ago and love it.

Bout the same for me too. Goto unit but you will need to compliment the tool kit size, but a well rounded starter kit I suppose.

You can never have enough tools lol

The quality of this whole set, tools and drawers, is very much bottom of the barrel. Very poor.
If you just need something it will do the job but I'd recommend the Toolpro 198 pc set for $200. Tool selection and quality is much much better.
If required, tool drawers from sca or repco for 300-400 on special.

I have both sets, this and two tool pro sets. The tool pro sets were far bigger but I felt both had good quality. I was quite happy with it once I had an expanded set to compliment it. If you don't have at least two of a tool you will just be looking for stuff all the time.

      • Exactly my point. That's $450 total at the lowest price for 80% doubled up bits and a below average tool drawer.

bought this almost 10 years ago for the virtually the same price. no issues, gets the job done and great for storage / second set of tools to keep in my main garage for odd jobs without having to venture back and fourth to the shed.

    • Don’t really need another socket set or mechanics toolset - just looking for a sub 110cm trolley / drawers / toolbox. But this price is really compelling for someone just looking for somewhere to store a dozen power tools and some hand tools..

Quality of the tools aside, how does the housing of this one compare to similar priced trolleys?

I use two Ikea PS Metal Cabinets to store my power tools in, I chopped the legs off one and stacked it on top of the other. They show up on Gumtree/Marketplace all the time in various colours and can be haggled to a reasonable price. https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/ikea-ps-cabinet-white-90251452/

Similar ones are sold by the usual competitors, Kogan, etc too.

They are fine as a cabinet but need better castors if you plan on actually rolling it around.
