Hi guys, came across this deal when searching specifically for this lens on Google. Seems like Ted's cameras are doing a special pricing for this new lens that has just been released. This lens also has quite a lot of positive reviews both online and on Youtube, I suggest doing some research before committing to this purchase but from what I'm seeing so far is that this lens is very sharp.

Also available for Fujifilm, Canon RF and L mount.

The only cons for this I guess is the price and the size especially for an APSC camera, but on the bright side its got internal zoom and also F1.8 throughout the zoom range.

Hope this helps someone who is on the verge between buying the Sony E 16-55mm F2.8 G or Tamron 17-70 for Sony APSC cameras.

  That’s a great price. Already have the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 though, which fully overlaps in focal length… :P

    I was in the same boat. 18-50mm is on my camera 80% of the time. I sold my 18-50mm f2.8 for $500 and change to this. No regard. Night photography is where this lens shine compare to the 18-50mm.

  I got mine from Digidirect for $1401 and I have to wait for 2 months for my pre-order. So this is definitely a good discount hopefully, the wait will be shorter.

  I have the original Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 Art on my Nikon D500.

  It's beautiful and almost never gets taken off. It is SO sharp and has gorgeous bokeh, my favourite lens by far.

  If this is anything like mine, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat for that focal range.

    Fully agree, it's a wonderful lens. It's lasted longer than my 70D and still has a special place in my camera bag
