ATL I believe… But still waiting for BF before taking the plunge…

Same here. This is the model, but has to be below $2k.

  • This seems to be the best that can jump up a level and low height. Although the Dreame Ultra X50 is right up there too.

I got this cheaper from costco. It was $2400 in early July

  • I am using a qrevo master. The mopping result is not good enough. Is this better in mopping? Are those rolling mopping better?

    • I'm looking for a robo vac. Why was the qrevo master's mapping not good enough?

There are still food stains after cleaning

    • I went from a Q Revo Master to the (Dreame off shoot) MOVA Z50, and it is way better at mopping with its rolling mop. All these spinning pads just aren't as good in my opinion.

    • I've got the Narwal Freo Z10, its excellent, easy to use and the mopping is the highlight.

Bought this during the Prime Day sale last month (same price, boosted cashback) to replace an S7+. Agonised between this and the Dreame X50, which is noticeably cheaper with TGG Commercial but has some very poor reviews of Dreame's customer service, and also so-so navigation (my s7+ frequently got lost). We're pretty happy with the s10R, after some initial hiccups.

The biggest turnaround is in long hair handling - I used to spend ages cutting and disentangling long hairs from my S7+ (and s5 before that). It's a non-issue with the s10R.

Similarly, I underrated the impact of a dock that cleans the pads. My old s7+ had the old style thin microfibre "wipe" that didn't really pick up much dirt; I then had a Bissell Spinwave Robot Mop with spinning pads that picked up a lot more dirt - but thus needed a lot more cleaning, which was a major hassle. The s10R (unlike the s10) has spinning mops - but I haven't had to touch them in a month (I run this thing every night). All these little maintenance tasks that I don't have to do any more really add up to a much better robot mop experience since you don't have to baby it so much.

I really love the improved navigation. My s7 became a major liability after I moved the dock from one side of the room to the other - despite what YouTube videos and other pages promised, it simply couldn't handle that location change. By comparison, I moved the dock for the s10R to a completely different room and it figured it out and remapped the dock position in less than a minute. It doesn't get lost.

As for actual cleaning, it's quite decent in our largely carpeted home. I had a couple of bad results but realised it was because the self-empty dock had become jammed (and so the on board bin overflowed) - that only has happened once in the 1.5 months I've had it and not once since I switched to "High" for the emptying threshold (for carpet dominated homes like ours).

It's also decent on hard floors. I'm using Bissell hard floor cleaner as the actual official product seems an eye watering price and seems to have minimal effectiveness and no disinfectant qualities.

Obstacle avoidance is…ok. Better than the s7. It was choked up a by a dark coloured ribbon, and froze on a dark grey, plush doormat, and has sometimes wedged itself in corners with multiple chairleg and a "ripple" in a large circular floor rug. But that's happening less and less, which suggests it might actually be learning. Though hard to say for sure as "AI" on these machines seems to be marketing hogwash.

WARNING: Roborock has been refusing ACL rights and reckoned “This is consistent with industry practices to balance service quality and operational viability” – basically designed to die right after a year’s service.

  • Worth noting, the Mova V50 Ultra which scored highest on the Vacuum Wars Robot Vaccum list is selling at most retailers for $2498.
