No different than kings which was $400.
I expected atleast a hard roof for 2k

  • Actually now that i think about it, might be worth it if you never cancel your costco membership as you can return it after 29 years but that would be the only reason to get it

    300 kg internal weight capacity

That's just enough for One OzBargainer

Good luck finding a car with a 300kg roof or railing capacity. Need to add a decent roof tray for another $800+.

  • Never heard of the brand. Lol

I paid over $600 back in the day for a foxwing and used it on two trips.

  • margaret…MARG! the car has a tumor

would this fit on a suzuki vitara 2016 onwards - dont know the roof weight limit

    • 80kg I believe. Good luck.

Thats a dynamic loading. Static loading is generally much higher, 3 - 5 times.

        • I wouldn't be moving this thing around strapped to a Swift thats for sure

  • would this fit my car? the top rack is rated at 60kg, does that mean only my tent can get on top but not me?

    • +3

60kg limit is for when car in motion. So that would be rooftop bars/rails + weight of the tent.
The static limit is generally higher, say mine is 250 kg which will then include (rooftop bars+rails+tent+people who want to sleep+any additional things you take with you)

      • 115kg here.. probably not going to take any chances as tent + gear would be approaching 200.
..and at 194cm, I'm probably going to have a bad time curling up in there anyway

  • Watch that climb after a couple of beers while camping….

    • +2

It’s more the climb out at 3am when you need to go for a leak id be worried about

  • For less than 2k I'm reckon you could get a sweet tent setup with cots & all sorts of comfortable accessories that could all be bundled onto some roof racks.

  • Adding that much weight to the top of any vehicle will change the driving dynamics due to change in center of gravity as well as added fuel inefficiency. Only buy if you are camping very often, or willing to fit and unfit it before every trip (in most cases not a DIY job) and have space to store it while not in use.

    • Yeah the only way I'd ever consider one of these things was if I had a dedicated camping vehicle, and even then I'd prefer something I could detach from the car at leave at the campsite.

  • Don't know why anyone would buy a rtt but here's one for $999 from Anaconda if you're looking.
