Hi all, I signed up for a Qantas Pay Prepaid Card (used to be called Qantas money card I think) because they had an offer for 1000 bonus points when you spend $100.
But when I try to use it on Qantas Marketplace to buy a gift card, I get an error saying payment failed.
Wondering if anyone else has had any success with using Qantas Pay on their Marketplace?
I had the same issue and I had to call qantas pay to have them reset my mobile number for verifitcation when purchase are made.
Once this was done I could purchase the gift cards.

This makes a lot of sense as i thought it might be an issue with marketplace using 3D Secure to send an OTP, but i couldn't work out why that wouldn't work when qantas pay has my mobile number. Think I'll see if i can contact them by chat or email, couldn't think of anything worse than waiting on hold to speak to them and trying to explain this issue 🤣
I think it's pretty common that you can't buy gift cards with gift cards. It's possible that the Qantas Pay Prepaid Card is being treated as some kind of gift card.
I googled it and Qantas Pay Prepaid Card seems to be a mastercard. You could just spend it on something else? LIke just spend your Qantas Pay Prepaid Card the next time you need to buy groceries or fuel. And then make your purchase on Qantas Marketplace using a normal debit or credit card.
I've purchased gift cards from Qantas Marketplace before with no problems, but I used a normal credit card.
