Does this work on Xbox since they were giving away free game launcher a while ago lol

Haha is this an attempt to lower Battlefield 6 numbers?

they can only wish… having played the beta, will definitely be looking into getting the game (given they improve game and it's feedback & post launch). best way to play cod these days is to get gamepass for a month and finish it.

idk if they'll allow this to stay up, but I truly respect the hustle

Do you own the game after these steps? Or do you have to repeat the latter steps and disconnect from internet everytime you want to start the game?

    • +6

Nope. From my understanding you'll lose it if you connect to the internet, this is essentially just a free playthrough of the campaign (it's only a few hours long).

Is it worth playing the campaign even if it’s free, especially for an FPS newbie?

    • Not sure on the campaign but I know the game overall wasn't rated well.
As a newbie, I'd suggest going through the old ones first, lots of fun there.

If you're on console, Modern Warfare 2019 is arguably the best campaign they've put out in a long time. Can be had secondhand for $10-$15

On gamepass I played a few levels and gave up. Nothing but bad reviews online.

The MW3 campaign is probably one of the weakest campaigns from a CoD game.

It's extremely short (even for CoD) and it has some interesting new level and gameplay decisions that can end up being less interesting to some than the good old linear corridor shooter. It's like they were trying some new ideas out and quickly shoved them in this game because they had such a short time to develop it.

I say that but still played it and then went back through on veteran difficulty to make it more interesting. But either of the other two reboot MW campaigns or the last couple black ops games are all regarded higher. Black Ops 6 showed that they could toss some new ideas into a CoD campaign without the whole thing being kinda lame.

Couldn't pay me to play it! Nice find though

  • Do you still earn trophies doing this?

    • I was also wondering this

I'd be concerned about Sony potentially banning your account if you do this…

Its just a bug, and not a bug to jailbreak the console. you'll be fine.

That thumbnail looks like Robert Downey blackface

    • " I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude"

    • Looks like Barry Sloane, the guy who voiced and motion captured Captain Price.
