Hi all
Recently got the E340 Video Doorbell from a recent deal and am looking to run it hardwired. Anyone else got this same unit and can advise on what they are using to power it?
Cheers

Hardwired eufy E340 Video Doorbell - What Are People Using for Power
It uses a doorbell power supply, Google is your friend.
I did Google, I found several that had a wide range of options of compatibility with video door bells.
Then in small print they said not compatible with eufy 2K.
Hence I thought I could maybe ask the helpful OzB community.
Just out of interest can you share the model that says not compatible? My understanding was basically any 12-24v ac (iron core) transformer would suffice for eufy series.
It was a plug in one that I see now only has a small amp output. Compatible with a heap of other units but not the 2k.
I'm ideally looking to get a plug in rather than proper old style transformer that then needs wiring in further.
@jollster101: maybe this from jaycar - 105va is overkill but at least it’s got more than enough power. This assumes you can locate it pretty close to the doorbell. You will obviously need to hardwire the output to the doorbell but from picture does have the plug.
Bunnings used to carry Hpm brand 12v 50va which would be heaps but I see it’s now special order only.
@Jimothy Wongingtons: All the posts say while the specs say 12vac works, it is endless issues and aim for 16-24vac instead.
@JimmyF: yeah go 24v 1a as per your post would be best if available. i was originally going to post that one but i was thinking oh..1a thats prob too tight since the min was something like 10w recommended. Forgetting I was comparing at 24v in my haste lol
@JimmyF: Someone on Reddit provided a link to a support article on a eufy site that called out 16-24vac 30va.
I don't know why eufy don't sell a specific PSU for the unit themselves.
@jollster101: go this one then
I dont know your level of electronics familiarity but the second you you'll need to cut off the output barrel jack and hardwire either direct to the doorbell, or to your low voltage cable extension. Its very self explanatory but even the simple act of stripping cables is overwhelming for some.
@Jimothy Wongingtons: Cutting the barrel connector off isn't an issue.
This one that was posted by JimmyF would work as well though from what I can see

I guess most places would have a PSU already installed if you are replacing an exisiting hardwired doorbell?
But agree, don't know why Eufy doesn't update the specs to say 16-24va if they have a article that says basically don't use a 12-15vac PSU!
@JimmyF: I don't have an existing doorbell in place so its a new install. Luckily there is a GPO close by so I don't need a new one installed.
I think the Jaycar one you posted is the winner.
Hence I thought I could maybe ask the helpful OzB community.
This one then

@JimmyF - Thanks.
Usually hardwire powered by electrical cables. You can get them added by an Electrician.
