  I just booked an airfare to Japan with Singapore Airlines, so I compared CBA's price with booking directly through SIA's website:

  SIA: $1517
  CBA: $1973

  Same date/flights/etc. Even with 20% off it's cheaper to avoid this offer. YMMV. I'll try it for hotel bookings later.

    Is it exactly the same level fare? I had similar happen with Amex and direct with Singapore. Upon closer inspection, the Amex fare was Economy Value, and the Singapore Airlines direct fare was Economy Value. Couldn't get Amex to sell me the Economy Value fair.
