Hi all
I'm wanting to learn how to use NVivo - it's used in many higher ed/research environments, for better or for worse, to collect and code data with themes.
Youtube seems helpful, but I thought I'd check the hive to see if any of you had done any free courses or knew of any that were recommended by your universities?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the belated reply but many thanks - this was the feeling I had about it. I remember when it first began to be widely used, people were coming to the university where I was and workshop places had to be reserved and justified. Now the university doesn't even have a research librarian…
Anyway, using AI is a great idea - should help me to up my skills. Or perhaps to present an argument for why we shouldn't use NVivo lol
Not my field, but those I know in social science have all been sent on very expensive courses to learn NVivo.
I know that's not the answer you are looking! My only other advice would be to try AI tools as their ability should be an okay proxy for the quality of free content. You could even try ChatGPTs Agent mode and get it to look for courses or even make its own for you ($20 USD a month so much cheaper than a proper course).
