Not according to Lego.com in the links I shared. $70 dollarydo discount!
I think they mean this has been Amazons standard price for some time (at least a week so far). Usually they are matching a store somewhere.. in this case it is Big W
🤷
It's a good discount on a cool set; there's lots of Lego fans here and it wasn't listed already; the camels and Google was showing it as ATL and Lego has it for substantially more.
Hopefully it makes someone's day.
Also thanks to the mod who checked all the locations.
@Rogue01: It's not a discount. It's the standard price for BIGW/KMART/Target. They never follow Lego RRP.
@Repstar: That seems at least partially true - Target site states:
LEGO® Star Wars AT-ST Walker 75417
$229
INTRO OFFER
Price after offer ends $269. Ends 13/08/25*
I wonder if Target and or Kmart are the same then.
Either way, still a (good) discount. Can't please everyone.
@Rogue01: We just cant have deals posted every time a store undercuts the RRP of Lego. It's standard. The real hidden deal here is buying it from Amazon @ $229, and stacking with 3% gift cards, and 15% cashback from TCB. Brings the price down to $190.90. Boom. You're welcome.
@ozbdeal4me: Dumb comment. Giftcards DO NOT invalidate cashback on Amazon. Know what your talking about before posting advice thanks.
@Repstar: I just don't think I can match that extra level of ozbargaining. I'm not negging - I'm absolutely all for it if that's your thing - but this is a legit discount and one I can pick up today and that makes it a win for me (and many others). Of course there's newsletter coupons and points and things that can also be used or gained but how much do you invest in getting the ultimate price?
I will only buy my lego from china these days. Thanks for the share but its a cool new set
It's pathetic that I was forced to buy this from Amazon. Target especially is useless for Lego in WA.
I prefer to buy from the Aussie stores too but it's hard to compete with Amazon's reach.
Topcashback 15% was the clincher too, vs waiting for big W (no point waiting for target, might never come to WA)
No way. I'm saving my $1600+ for set 75419 "UCS Death Frisbee" /s
(when you see it, you'll know)
I had to google that… 😬 Lego have made some awesome sets lately but that's an epic fail.
We already had 2 sphere death stars before. I think it looks great lol.
I'm not sure who downvoted you but I agree it definitely has some positives. I think the diorama approach looks great as both a display piece and for playability. The scale and figure selection is awesome. But $1600?!
I was actually committed to buying it, but now that I've seen it I'm out. just can't get past the pricetag, the lack of detail on the other side that could have made it into half a sphere (if you wanted to display something that looks like a Death Star, and that LEGO denied fans the dual-molded legs that were required on so many of these figures in a UCS set - when they constantly dual mold collectible minifigs for a mere $5 a pop.
Have a +1 because I've never understood people downvoting mere differences of opinion 😊
Yeah if it was half spherical with amazing figs I'd be in.
For what they are offering it shouldn't be more than $800.
Edit: it's 9000 pieces. Jabbas barge by comparison is 4000. Are we sure it can't be half spherical?
@justtoreply: Yep check the subreddit r/LegoStarWarsLeaks for pics and discussion. Box art shows the build in profile: it's a thin sliver of a sphere (basically a tall rectangle from side-on, with some bulk at the base)
I think it looks pretty cool. Would be nice on a wall. Not 1600 nice though…
Standard price.
