Likewise, my hit rate with back orders is terrible.
What has happened with my previous attempts is Amazon corrects the price and make it "In Stock" for purchase whilst ignoring/not fulfilling backorders :/
@jazzpdp: I wonder if you could try reordering the item at full price, then making support saying you want them to price match your cancelled order. Worst case you'll just get a refund.

No carbon fibre plate like Deviate, not as high stack as Magnify.
This is their entry level Nitro (apart from Electrify, but that's not a full nitro foam)
I actually exclusively in Pumas.
I have the Velocity Nitro 3s as my daily, DN2 as my speed work and Magnify 2 as my long runs.
The Vn3 and I assume 4 will be the same, is an absolute workhorse. You can pick up the price in them and I've done the occasional tempo run (4-4:30) and speed work (3-3:30) and found them fine. More than a HM distance is fine but my feet did feel a little more beat up than it would if I ran in the magnify. Hope that helps.
Definitely get them. They are a lot better than some dailys that are double the price.

I've used a great deal of Pumas too because of their occasional 70% off deals making it very affordable for a sport that I thought was supposed to be as cheap as just picking up a pair of shoes and going for a run… I LOVED my Magnify; took that baby all the way to 1500km before it started giving me knee pains. Recently got the ForeverRun on sale because of it being highly rated on RunRepeat and thought maybe it'd be good for my flat feet. Currently having a really bad experience; very firm, no pop, and giving me all kinds of leg issues. That's why I was hesitant to pul the trigger on these Velocity. Thanks again though! Will know for next time if it ever comes back.

Disappointed the order was cancelled rather than shipping when the item gets restocked, as they will surely restock it at some point for a higher price.
@studentl0an: Puma likely not keen to supply stock to Amazon and sell at a "loss" for a relatively new model runners and gave them the finger xD
