Citizen Orca BN0238-02L Eco-Drive Blue Dive Watch $299 Delivered @ Starbuy

80

It's Orca time

There are two cool Orca colourways. There's the all-black special edition one, and there's this one, blue with the wave dial.

The Orca looks like no other watch out there and that's a good thing.

Two years ago the spec ed was $299, now we have this one also for $299. Take that, inflation! And with Starbuy's signup bonus you can get an extra $25 off to make it a sweet $274. If that doesn't breach your FIIB* threshold then I don't know what will.

Specs:

  • Case Diameter 46mm
  • Case Thickness 14mm
  • Lug to Lug 48mm
  • 200m WR (it's a proper ISO-rated diver)
  • Mineral Crystal
  • Lume is strong enough to track aircraft at night
  • Comes with the scuba tank packaging

Don't let the 46mm size put you off. I have the black one and it genuinely doesn't feel that large. If you've got a teeny-tiny wrist maybe stay away but anything over 7 inches will be fine. That's what she said, at least.

The strap is quite long but I haven't found that an issue.

I presume the strap is long so it can go over a wetsuit?

I presume the strap is long so I can accumulate enough hammer throw centrifugal energy to fling this ugly watch into the mouth of an active volcano? (Catty I know, but to me the sense of scale and balance in this watch is just off)

    • The strap is long enough to strap it round a grenade for good luck.

  • Give me City Beach Rip Curl vibes with the wave face

  • ghastly rig
