I've previously had issues with installers not wanting to install appliances they didn't supply, has anyone had that with RCAC?

Poor form if they not. Maybe they too busy and opt. to make decent margin on their own stock

    • install using JB / goodguys tradies? but usually more exy

    • I bought a similar model from TGG and organised installation in store a couple of years ago. installation cost around $950

quote from other installer who supply and install similar unit was $2750

  • The house we bought came with 2 of similar looking Hisense 7kw units in living area but was not correctly installed, looks like gas from one of them has leaked out completely, can see all the residue where fitting connects to outside unit, is it worth getting it regassed or just grab a new unit ?

That probably a question you should ask to someone who is qualified to install and re-gas. If they are near new, it would be ashame not to get use out of them. If the install was incorrect, they might be able to propose a fix, if one exists.

  • what is the usual installation process? We buy this and seek an electrical AC guy to install? Does this require wiring to the electrical board?

I read that it's roughly 700-1000 for each depending on the mounting and routing of pipes.

  • No delivery available to my Brisbane address. Bugga.

    • get it PM either from JB or TGG , or any of your preferred store .. but do ask for delivery to be included in the $1099 as Appliance central price includes delivery
