    • Still rocking a 2011, 51” Samsung Plasma TV. The thing just won’t die! Will probably replace with this OLED once the price goes sub $1.5k.

Excellent price. Just goes to show how overly inflated the RRP is.

Shoukd be able to get a loyalty 5% coupon by providing your serial number of an existing samsung tv to the chat agent. Just purchased a xheaper oled via partner portal

Would be alright if they supported Dolby Vision, just like I wish lg would support hdr 10+

    • You should probably check how many streaming services are now starting to support HDR10+. It's always been an arbitrary thing that Dolby have gated with payments to various hardware vendors.

AI in a TV. Make it make sense.

Upscaling, image processing, audio processing, speech recognition and translation, context-aware searching. I can go on…

I've got the 65 inch and has been beautiful to look at so far. Would definitely recommend to anyone on the fence - the peak brightness bump is top tier.

Yep, QD-OLED looked absolutely marvellous when I was playing TLOU2 on my S95B, just fantastic. I can only imagine what it will look like on this much brighter beast. I have already purchased a G5 which is also a thing of beauty but also want a Bravia 8 II (despite its shortcomings to the S95F).

The TV rabbit-hole is a dangerous one to fall down… hope the G5 gives you a ton of fun for a while, those are fabulous displays!

You're not wrong. I got the G5 for just under 3k so there's not a chance I'm spending anymore than that on the Bravia. Very expensive hobby. Sony are dreaming with what they're asking. It just went back to RRP from a "sale" price of 3.5k lol.

Got the same model. Coming from a regular LED TV with around 500 nits, I thought my S95F's brightness was ridiculous and uncomfortable to the eyes…then I got used to it lmao. HDR10+ is now slowly becoming available for other streaming services which is great. Probably the only thing I hate about it is the clunky Tizen OS.
