Denali Expedition III Duffle Bag 45L $39.99 (Club Members Only) + $8.99 Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store/ $99 Order) @ Anaconda

360

Hi there,

I'm late on this one as I bought it yesterday: I was chasing a duffel bag the other day and when having a look at this for a second time, I realised it was even cheaper than the initial discount I saw (59.99). I decided to go to the store to see it, and I found a very good duffel (all-I-need-it too) for 40 bucks.

Also, the 65L, 90L, and 120L are heavily discounted too.

I hope this post helps you make "that" decision 😊

((First time posting after years of just watching 🙃))

  • Are these waterproof?

    • Almost no duffel bags are waterproof- they have zips. Massive zips.

Are duffle bags the new eneloops?

    • +1

I can appreciate a good WP duffle bag, as they are usually tough enough to act as a check-in bag if necessary.

      • i wouldnt recommend 2 heavy laden ones if you have a bit of a walk though

        • They are a nice shape to slip through a suitcase handle, though carry-on's can sometimes tip if not heavy enough.

It's handy how the strraps stay up.

Are these suitable when visiting banks?

    • You might be able to make off with a bit less than $3 million with a bag

      • in $20s or $100s ?

These are great bags. Handy for taking to the snow

Alternative if you want one with shoe compartments. $54 delivered, perfect fit for snorkelling fins

Whatever they claim the RRP is, I've never found any 'Denali' kit that was worth, at best, what Anaconda were charging at the time.

I'm not saying it's bad, I'm saying it's fine, but it's not exactly the premium kit their highly specious RRPs would lead you to believe.

    • I wouldn't consider $100 for a rugged duffle bag to be 'premium' pricing, you can certainly do a lot worse in this category.

  • Are these ones that can be a backpack too?

  • Would this make good carry-on for flights?

    • 60cm long makes it too big for most if not all

  • Looks handy to have 1 or 2 in the car for shopping and more

    • Would make a great roast chicken vessel

      • +1

Especially the 120L. That'll easily fit 30 roasty bad boys for transportation.

          This is the way

    Picked up my 120L today.
Fairly similar in construction to the North Face Duffel I have in a smaller size.
Very happy with this! Quality feels excellent.

  • 65l down to 40 bucks I notice this morning. https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/packs-bags/duf…

Though is the Cargo model rather than expedition, looks less waterproof.

The cargo versions are very different. Very soft and not rigid, but then also lighter weight.
