This price comes around every few months. Good as a gift, or if you're just getting into cooking. However wouldn't buy for myself, id suggest a quality set of stainless steel pans.

    "typically retails for"

It spends much more time on sale than at full price.

  • Would these Tefal pans be good for cooking steak? I have a nice Baccarat pan but the meat tends to stick to the pan if not moved around constantly.

    • +1

Anything that can reach high temp will be good for cooking steak, your pan included, more than likely the steak isn't ready to be flipped if it's sticking to the pan.

But yes, anything with a non stick coating such as this tefal set will be a lot easier to cook on and clean.

      • Thanks!

It looks like the handle has rubber on the bottom side.

Besides the stickiness, the stainless steel pan is great in that I'm able to place it straight into the oven after searing the steak.

I'm looking at this one (also on special):

        • Correct you would be able to finish it off in the oven with this set.

But the one you picked out is a solid choice.

    • Remember to have some oil on your pan too.

    • I literally bought a non stick Tefal pan recently so I can throw my SS Baccarats in the bin.

      • Baccarats

        belongs to the bin anyway

        • Agreed - was a Christmas present I never wanted but was overruled….

God no. Cast iron for steak. This isn't pfas free. You don't want to use nonstick for super high heat things.

  • Not Pfas free, all my previous Tefal pans lasted 12 months. Warranty is useless

I picked up a hexclad pan the newer ceramic one from tkmaxx for $30
    Best pan ever tbh

Does this have the cancer coating or that only for non stainless steel as i heard stanless steel have non stick coatings aswell now

Had these pans for 12 years, use them daily. SS is theory is fantastic, in practise complete crap. Never use mine, dont like frying with so much butter/oil.

    Don't like non-stick….

If you have a stainless steel pan hot enough it won't stick.
