Just purchased one from TGG. 5% off gift card from rewards gateway,
@Bahrgain Victorious: There are some. Can’t recall but it’s been posted here at OzB. Never needed so never paid attention as such. May need to pay a bit monthly fee though.
Price button and code do combine. Multiple posts in the related section of the PAYDAY deal post which do this
Reviews look pretty good. I've been umming and ahhing over OzB's favourite Esatto/Onix or going up to an older gen Bosch in a similar price range to this.
Anyone have this and can comment especially re: dreaded condenser fins?
Have an older Bosch heat pump. Worked flawlessly however .
Does not change rotation, only spins one way hence sheets always bundle up and need to be manually in bundled and put back in. Major hassle.
Known issue with exchanger needing to be cleaned even though auto condenser cleaning. Plenty of articles on it you buy a cover for it and can clean part of it only. Key thing here is cleaning the filters each time.
Else great. It has a no iron feature where it spins occasion for up to a few hrs post cycle finish.
I see this one has the reverse rotation and a cleaning cover. Not sure on the iron setting.
*reversable door, not reverse rotation.
Wall mountable?
Heat Pump Dryers are not wall mountable.
How would you stack them on-top of a front loader washer?
Could you just put some rubber matting in between or is there a proper way of doing it?
Yes you can buy rubber mats from good guys or other vendors and stack them up on the front washer. I have a vented dryer sitting on top of the washer without issues. Or you can buy a metal shelf so that the load is not on the washer itself.
There are adjustable stacking brackets too
I've got a HDFS80HE, a series 5 with Ion refresh, whatever that is. It appears to be very similar to this model.
Great product.
I've got it plumbed so don't have to worry about emptying the condensor tray.
This is my first dryer so I can't compare to any others.
There are 2 filters, the main filter and the heat pump filter.
I clean the main filter after every load and the heat pump filter only so often.
Recently the dryer started taking longer and longer to finish a load and leaking a bit of water, lots of lint getting left around the door
Only this morning I decided to check the heat pump filter and the section was full of moisture and lint caked onto the filter.
Cleaned it all out, washed out the filter and it worked like new again.
I probably would have last cleaned the heat pump filter a few months back.
So while not necessary to clean the heat pump filter after every load, it's still best to give it a regular clean.
Other than the above user error, this machine has been great.
I decided on this as model as it was one of the only ones that didn't rely only on auto sensing.
I was expecting a dryer to use up quite a bit of power but was also surprised at how energy efficient it was.
what's wrong with autosensing? can you please elaborate?
At the time I was researching, there were lots of comments that autosensing dryers had a lot of issues not drying loads properly.
It's possible things have gotten better sinse then, but a predominant timer based one was something I preferred.
Thanks. My experience with an Electrolux vented dryer is different. The auto sensing works quite well but then, it's a tumble dryer and the technology is totally different.
I picked up the 9.5kg version about a month ago. Only had it a short time but it has been great. My only issue is that coming from a top loader, I didn't realise that weight basically means nothing. The top loader was an 8.5kg but I could fit nearly twice as much in there without issue due to the barrel size.
Only way I would fit 9.5kgs in this one is if I loaded it with bricks.
Wet clothes are much more heavier than dry clothes.
Yeah, but I've packed it to the brim with towels and it still hasn't hit weight limit while washing. But it also didn't wash the towels properly 'cause it couldn't cycle them with it packed that full.
Also still held less towels than the top loader.
Thanks OP. Bought one from goodguys following a comment under this post. Used PAYDAY code and price check button. Overall paid $729 including unpack delivery option (I hope this is where they bring the machine inside and place it where you need). The storecash from recent times have come in handy to reduce the $ to 729.
Is that from the manufacturer or some third party ???
