Referral for Club Telco

      What do you mean they are blocking referral numbers?
      Are you a rep? I've helped over 8 people get a referral from my account with no problems. Whats your source for this info?

  • Hi, Does anyone can give me the advice about phone line and internet? Once I sign up with CT I will use your ref no. Thanks in advance.

    First of all I am newbie about the internet here. Now are my long questions

    1) I am moving to new apartment in next week. I would like to use Club Telco. I have noticed that to sign up with CT($40 plan, metro) I need to have phone line. I already ask the Landlord, he said he have the phone line (which I think he should finished the contract with Telstra). I am curious that do I have to call Telstra and pay them $23 every month (lowest plan) to activate the home phone again? Then call TC that I want to sign up with you and pay $40 monthly plus $90+$50 so first month I have to pay $180 to TC plus $23 to Telstra minus -$25 for your ref. no., right?

    2) Do I have any other way that I no need to pay for the Phone line rental. I heard that two of my friends just use the existing phone line in the apartment to conect the internet without paying any phone bill. Both of them live in CBD Sydney and used TPG Adsl2+ for $59.99 or $69.99 unlimited How can I do like them with using Club Telco?

      Your mates, are getting line bundled with the internet using tpg. Cheapest way for you is sign with telstra for basic line $23
      plus CT for internet metro $40
      Because you have your landlond who already has a line, when you take it over, telstra will just charge you re connection fee. (I think $50)
      You'll get $25 off with CT for being reffered.

        As you said my friends got bundle, how they pay only $59 and another for $69. It should more than that if they chose TPG bundle.

          3years ago i had TPG $59 bundle, that included my phone.
          Then TPG had a new plan for $69.95 that included local calls…
          My plan didn't change from the $59.95, but a mate signed up and had to do the new plan for $69.95.

          Your mate probably has the old $59 plan and your other mate might have the newer $69 plan?.. Not sure.

          They also have a rewards program you get when you sign up "infinite rewards", look it up, i got discount on a hire car on my last holiday.

        • Now is my last question. I heard that(again). if you use phone line rental from Telstra. You have to use more than 3 months (otherwise they will have penalty charge) then you can cancel the service BUT later on your INTERNET still WORKING (Is this a trick?). This is mean you will get charge with Telstra for 3 months $23*3 = $69, after you cancel, no more pay for the phone bill, only pay for internet like Naked DSL. Any ideas?

          Not possible.
          The line is disconnected at the node by signal.
          Once you leave telstra, no internet.
          Your modem needs an active line to switch through.
          Without it being active, you'll have nothing.

          I just take a look on the Telstra website about the phone line rental which I want to select the cheapest one, they wrote:

          HomeLine® Budget customers agree not to acquire services from other carriage service providers by dialing their access override code and must not acquire a broadband service from another service provider which is provided using line sharing technology.

          Does this mean I cant use this plan for signing with CT?

          No its fine, i use telstra home line, with CT.
          So do 2 mates of mine and 4 people in my family.
          You'll be fine.

          The general consensus on whirlpool is, you just don't tell Telstra about having broadband. They don't have the ability to check, but you don't cause trouble for yourself by telling them. I actually forgot all about that clause when I got homeline budget - and I either told Telstra - or the Telstra rep asked me - about broadband. So it was talked about for a while during the call. (So they knew and did nothing.)

        • It took 7 days for pending my account. Now they need another 6 days to visit my room. I dont want to think after they come how many they my internet gonna work :(

  • Same case to you. They asked me like your case above but unfortunately rep cant find my Telstra signal (may be it's optus line, I have no idea) so I end up with TC bundle. Let's see how many days it's gonna work and I hope TC dont need any extra work in my room.

    Now they postponed me agian to 4/10 so total 21 days that I have to wait. This is suck. They keep asking me do you happy with us? Should I say YES?

  • Got message from CT, internet WILL work on 18/10/13 but not guarantee!!! So total waiting is 35 days. Good job CT.

          $435.66??? club telco connect to your exsisting line, you said you had telstra already?
          so who charged you the $435.66? CT wont charge you that. they wont put in a line either > only telstra will.

        • They charged $299 for Telephone line connection (I'm sure it's not hard cable work, just fix something out of my room so it caused me $299)
          plus $70 for the plan
          plus $ 50 annual member fee
          plus other pro rata $16.

          You said you had an active line working in your house before going to signup? Seems like your not sure what was done, "something out of my room"
          Unless you requested a point to be added to the room then I think you have been jibbed by the techs CT hired.
          Or you didnt have a line in th first place, in which case you WILL be charged that by anybody, not just CT.
          Good lucky buddy and dont forget to tell them my name and account number so you get that $25.

        • -The owner said there used to be Telstra phone line in room but I think may be it was disconnected.

          -"something out of my room" means they ask me to stay in the room from 8 am-noon and no one come in my room, no
          call, nothing so I call them, they said everything should be done by now! I said so why you want me to stay in the room I
          have many thing to do, this is waste my time. The staff said I know but blah blah …(CT probably hires Telstra to fix my line and Telstra charges back to TC then TC overcharges me., this is what they do.)

          -I had complained twice but nothing happen even I said I'm not happy the staff can't do anything. I have never try to call their manager, just so bored about this so just leave it.

          -You will get credit after my next bill come. Again they missed the friend referral since the start.
