give it a go, try chatting to the chat bot for a discount code. I did previously and got an additional $50 off and allowed me to trade in a busted monitor for another $50.

    • That's excellent, so bring it down to $349 include delivery sounds pretty good :)

Additional $50 off if you trade in an old monitor.

VA panel, and lots of reviews under the Samsung listing state this model is a lemon (that's if VA didn't already make it enough of a lemon,)

You can do better for this price.

    • What monitor?

      • +1

Unfortunately as IPS ultrawide is fading, the deals are getting much fewer and far between.

At the very least, there are several 27" 1440p IPS monitors for under $300 you'd be much better off with, rather than anything VA.

If you want a decent ultrawide cheap, you'd be much better off with this, the panel is solid.

Otherwise HODL as no doubt OLED panels will continue dropping in price.

If you need any further indication that VA panels indeed blow ass, the manufactures themselves clearly know it does. VA is always hidden deep in the specifications, whereas other technologies like OLED/IPS are often proudly listed in the title.

          Blow ass, indeed.

        • @duckduckering do you own that monitor you posted? how is it ?

G5 VA response times make this a terrible deal. Do not buy Samsung monitors at a premium price below the G6 series (not even the G4 IPS have decent response times).

I would never recommend paying more than $279 for this monitor, and its ATL is $229. This particular model is almost 5 years old now.

Biggest POS monitor. Do not buy. I'm on my second one (stupid me) and im still having issues.
    Its cheap for a reason.

  • What are the recommendations for Ultra Wide 34" monitors for work/productivity?

    • I went with MSI MP341C. Mixed reviews but I just need something to get me through on wfh days. I never game anyway. I've yet to find out myself how it is.

Got this monitor in a previous deal for $179 (with trade in).
For the price ($179) it's been fantastic and haven't had any issues at all.
However at $399 there would be better monitors available.

    • I am not sure under $400…that might be other brands though

  • I have this same monitor and I have to say I'm not all that impressed by it.

  • Got it for $229, overall good monitor at that price, but $399 is ok price

    • $229 must be a bargain

Samsung Secret Sales will bring the price of this monitor down to a similar price again

Purchased to replace a 32" Asus Gaming monitor but I'm just not impressed with the Samsung 34". The height is small and it won't tilt. The colour regimes are also not good.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Garbage. As the other users have mentioned this monitor is just crap. Silly me bought a second one because the last one developed a green hue and was out of warranty. This time, the unit is IN Warranty and is flickering/glitching. No amount of trouble shooting has fixed it. DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS MONITOR.

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • I bought this monitor in March for $179 from Samsung Retail Website ($229.00 Secret Sale Price - $50 Trade In for old useless 20 inch monitor). It works well for everyday use (web surfing, documents & youtube) but is RUBBISH for Gaming.

    I wouldn't recommend paying $399 for it.

Wait till Samsung has another Secret Sale for under $250 & its a good deal.

    • I guess for 34 inches, we might have to wait for the sales?

      • yep, I would recommend that you wait. The Samsung Secret Sales seem to happen every month now.

  • Echoing other comments, i got this cheap and it’s very very average. I use it for work and it’s only just passable. I wouldn’t touch it for gaming.

  • Got this for 275 in late june as pre order.
Good price. However dislike how curved this model is. I find it distracting.

Next generation of humans will start having their eyes grow from their temples. All because samsung released this!

  • I own this monitor and I recommend people avoid it if possible.
Could be your mileage may vary but the 165hz overclock doesnt really work without causing distortions/static on the screen. Sometimes not at all and sometimes constantly.
I've change desktop hardware a couple of times since and the same issue is happening for me.
Besides that, the features around contrast and smart dimming are garbage. The VA panel itself is very average and the onboard menu for the monitor lags a lot. If you can, just get anything else around the same price point. I'd hazard a guess, it'd be better than this.

    I want a new monitor :(

    • how about if i just use it for work ? would that still be a bad idea?

  • not a deal at all, samsung had one of those secret sales not long ago and i got this for $175 (approx)
