          This is ~$500 for a local Samsung model with AMOLED 120Hz and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

            If anybody things $577 is a bargain then they're silly

                    @spackbace: OzBargain hidden rule: commenters must bring up old expired deals every time even if the current deal is better than average 😂. Ironic that it's usually users with barely any posts and contributions themselves who do this.

    PSA - this will get android 17 and no later. Maybe security updates a little bit after that. It's a good device and has a gorgeous screen but in many ways it's nearly EOL. Sure it won't become obsolete tomorrow but $500+ for a tablet that might only get a year or 2 of updates is pretty ordinary. The SD 8 Gen 2 is a pretty middling processor too.

      Am still using (typing this on it) a Samsung Tab S4 which was released 7 years ago (2018) and runs Android 10 on One Ui 2.1. Still runs very well. Ok lack of security updates but I monitor using Sophos Intercept X and others. Point being they will run well for many years. Great tablets.
