  • What is the difference between the two models?

    • +1

One is wire-free and the other is wireless

    • +1

There is no difference other than colour and the blue one has raised wave effect. I have both.

  • fake rrp: still expensive

  • I bought the INT-11P-B model for $110 about 18 months ago and have been very happy. Has definitely upped my bbq game especially for roast chicken and lamb. I reckon $60 is great value. In my experience connectivity is patchy at times but as I'm using it mostly for longer durations (45min - 1.5 hrs) the dropouts haven't resulted in any catastrophes. Haven't tried the newer models so not sure if they offer something different.

I have this model and connectivity drop outs were beyond frustration. I'd been using it mostly cooking indoors and found it better using an older wired thermometer due to the constant disconnections.

Interesting, I have wondered how much a variation in conditions would affect this. My issues seemed to be so random, one day it's up and running straight away, another day it would take 10 mins for the probe get a proper connection despite being fully charged and in the same physical proximity. Tapping the connect button on the charger would sometimes be an instant fix and other days would take require level 7 voodoo. Once it made the initial connection there was usually a dropout at some stage but seemed to come back if I took my phone closer to the charger which I always kept next to the probe. Did you notice any pattern to the madness or it just let you down too often to notice?

      • yeah i also have the B, it drops all the time, and also rarely use it because of this
i do use it with an older iphone, maybe thats why, not sure.

Unfortunately I can't recommend these models, I love most inkbird thermometers but I can't get a functional connection from within my big Joe.

like some others here, i had constant problems with these (i had the dual kit)… not only did the temps seem quite innacurate, it would work for hours and then drop out. To reconnect, you need to remove the probe, but it back into the cradle/base and then re-insert. Too much of a pain to do that.

I returned and puchased the TempSpike dual kit. The app is 100x better also. Much better alarm configuration (ie alarms for ambient OR internal temps, Inkbird app does NOT allow for this). It also gives you the estimated finish time, which has been pretty accurate.

    • Which model did you get from tempspike?
