Makita 18V 5.0Ah LXT Battery Twin Pack 191C123 $229 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Top Tools (Price Beat $206.10 @ Bunnings)

240

Decent deal on Makita 18V batteries. I got Bunnings to price beat in-store, and they weren't too happy about it, but did it after a few minutes checking on the phone. Got 4x batteries for $412.20.

Single batteries also available for $119: (https://toptoolsaustralia.com/products/makita-18v-li-ion-cor…)

Enjoy!

Bunnings staff act like its comming out of their own pocket!

Totally. I can't understand why they would care this much. Store attendant was acting like I robbed him personally.

    • I know what you mean, especially the worker from Bunnings are more of a particular region, and some how they're making it difficult to price beat etc..

Consider yourself lucky that you can even find a staff in Bunnings to talk to

    • Because the sellers not Amazon you might have some problems matching….

  • I got Makita sander 2 weeks ago with price match via their website and Bunnings store staff seems unaware of their own online quote and asked what is this… repeatedly. And have no idea how to process their own quote. End up doing it after few staff involvement and good 20 minutes.

It’s so how rare to get it done through them.

    • Yeah went in with an online quote and they had nfi. They are like we can't price match ourselves so I had to bring the website up that I had originally matched with and they did it that way. I must admit they were pretty good as they had a redemption for a free battery and charger, tried it at another bunnings just walking in and they said we'll do the match but no redemption, one or the other. It's hit and miss with these guys

    • Was that bunnings in Canberra?

      • Two stores, both are in Penrith NSW.

  • Is this a good deal?

I am looking to start getting some home tools for gardening, blower, pressure washer etc and want to choose between Makita or Ryobi..

    Thanks

Go with higher tier like Makita, they are nicer tools.

    • I got this for $503.91 at Bunnings with price beat https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/919447#comment-16812861 . 4 x 5 Ah batteries (2 via redemption), twin fast charger and a 36v(18x2) blower. I think OP could have sold the blower and charger on marketplace for way more than $91.71 and further reduced his battery cost. *it was $669 from Bunnings when I posted the deal.

    • My many years old ryobi gear was fine but the new drill and batteries were useless. Boss got a blower for the shed at work and after using that, if mine stops I'll be going for another brand. Ryobi quality seems to have gone way down in the last few years.

    +2 for Makita.

  • My local Bunnings added the shipping cost to the price beat so $218, Im still happy its a good price.
