The lactose free Greek yoghurt variant for this brand is my favourite but unfortunately not on sale…

    • Does that go on special sometimes?

      • +1

Yes last fortnight - only tried it as it was one of the only yoghurt on sale - as a mildly lactose intolerant consumer I must say I have no issues with this one. Can recommend.

Are your iced coffee days over?

          • +1

@Guybrush57: nah, dare + ice break do lactose free now too. Sugar is a bit high still though - probably should cut back to just 2 bottles a day instead.

    • +1

The lactose free one is also greek yoghurt, not 'greek style yoghurt' as all the others have now become.

        No it's not.

    • The lactose free Greek yoghurt variant

      It's not Greek.

You always seem to insert yourself into affairs relating to Greek style.

        • relating to Greek style.

          Harry ?

      • idk it says greek on the bottle? - i never really thought about it tbh - i just read ' improve gut health ' and i think wow, i should try to balance out all those beers and kfc - and lactose free will help me not destroy the site portaloo after smoko (but i will anyway)

or is this one of those jv moments where you are referring to semantics like 'this yoghurt is not made in Greece'

        • idk it says greek on the bottle?

It does, but it's not Greek yogurt.

It is Australian yogurt made in the style they use for real Greek yogurt.

A bit like how Australian sparkling wine can be made in the Champagne style, but it is not Champagne, because it is not made there…

          • @jv: sigh lol nah i guess thats fair..or is it? Maybe we need chatgpt's input on this.

        • +2

jv doesn't like it when someone is being anti-semantic.

            • @jv: I bet the hairdresser isn't a fan of Greek style either.

  • Used to love them a lot for the pure yoghurt they made without additives. But not so sure after that E. coli contamination.

  • +1

They used to be very good before changing the ingredients, now the best quality supermarket one is Chobani.

Isn't this everyday price at ALDI ?

        This brand good?

  • It has been like that price for lot of days in Woolies

  • I stopped buying Jalna, it's impossible to get the last bits out of the tub because of the dumb design of it. Basically every other brand I've seen you can easily run the back of a knife around it to get the last bits.

    • While I agree that it is a stupid design, I don't think it's a dealbreaker.

    • I agree the tub is a bit stupid but I have not found any other good REAL yoghurt (not Greek) that would be naturally creamy yet.

        Look harder…

        • Not GREEK.
          Read harder…

            @goodwillN1: It is not Greek…

            Comprehend harder…

            • @jv: Well played 😁 I will clarify: I am looking for natural yoghurt, not "greek style" yoghurt. I get this post is about the greek(ish) variant but I am looking for good tasting, non-thickened euro style yoghurt. General euro…not greek style, not skyr etc…

Edit: Just learned the Murican Dairy alliance calls it French yoghurt. Cultured in the tub.

              • @goodwillN1:

                calls it French yoghurt

                French 'Style' yoghurt…

You should try Procal anyway… Way, way better than Jalna…

  • PSA Greek style yogurt ≠ Greek yogurt
Pretty big difference when you compare nutritional info.

    • when you compare nutritional info.

      and location…

  • The coconut flavour is the best yogurt around IMHO.
