  • Hi Op, what is the minimum guaranteed battery capacity?

  • Be mindful the advertised 1 Year Warranty doesn't cover the battery or charger:

Battery and Charger: Covered under a 1-month warranty only

In that case, I guess the charger is not Original HP but some super light no name charger. I got a no name USB-C charger with a refurb Thinkpad, it is super light (in weight) and doesn't get hot. After 2 months, it stopped working suddenly with a melted external enclosure, glad that my Thinkpad still works afterwards.

I think Dell Latitude 5420 deal for $199 was much better comparatively.

Had 11th Gen processor and 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports.

    • Yeah but not available anymore

That doesn't automatically make this a good deal though.

$300+ for an 8th gen laptop (released in 2018) is ridiculous (their so-called normal $480 price is insane)…..No doubt the battery of a 6-7 years old laptop will need replacement.

    • +2

Agreed, even there "refurbishment process" makes no specific mention of battery health:

ensuring the existing battery meets performance standards.

What those "standards" are, who knows.

Discounted from $480??? What a joke. Laptop is probably 6-7 years old, while it's fine it's in no way a bargain.
    Examples:
    Dell Latitude 5300 Touch 13.3" FHD i5 8265U 16GB RAM 256GB SSD Win 11 Pro @ UNTech - $268
    Dell Latitude 7400 Intel i5 8365U 1.60GHz 16GB RAM 256GB SSD 14" Win 11 @ ACT - $328

    • Thoughts on the dell you linked to?

      $328.

  • Ah yes the FB Marketplace 8th gen e-waste

I’d rather get a brand, decent spec, one of these for the extra $300:
