Thanks Op, got these mug covers a while ago…they’re pretty cool but most stuff on there are pretty expensive for what they’re worth. 🙂

As long as they updated the thumb sticks in the last 30 years

The stick drift on the original was insane

I've heard this. I just wanna see how GoldenEye feels with the real deal. I've played that thing to death on Xbox, Switch, and every emulator console under the sun, but never the way God intended.

        • I remember the controls on GoldenEye being really weird but I can’t remember what it was.

I remember having to hold the controller in a weird way but I only played it a few times at a mates place, I didn’t own it

          • @NuttyGoodness: GoldenEye basically used what could be described as a 1st person version of tank controls.

            • The analog stick was used for moving Forward/Back and turning Left/Right.
            • The C-pad had look Up/Down and strafe Left/Right.
            • You pressed the R shoulder button to stop in place and aim with the analog stick, and used your left index finger to pull the Trigger button under the center of the tri-prong.

Meanwhile, modern 1st person shooters have been adapted from WASD keyboard and mouse controls:

            • Left hand side controls Forward/Back and strafe Left/Right.
            • Right hand side controls looking around.

@pj1351: I remember it had a plethora of control options, by default it was the tank-ish controls you mentioned which is what most went with cause it was, well the default.

Turok inadvertently turned me into a life-long southpaw gamer, using the c-buttons for moving forward/back and strafe left/right, and then the analogue stick for aiming, and I transplanted that over to Goldeneye when I found it also had a control scheme that mirrored it.

But there were heaps of control options, some were very similar to current gen where you could use the dpad for moving forward/back and strafe left/right, and the analogue for your aiming, you just needed to hold the left and middle controller prongs to achieve it.

Heck if you were only playing with one or two other people - and had the controllers for it, you could even go dual analogue sticks, by holding a controller in each hand, I think likewise they offered options for both southpaw left stick aim/right stick move, and for the now standard default left stick move and right stick aim!

Kinda wild how many options it had.

kinda overpriced to begin with. A deal don't make it much better

      Yeah pretty shonky stuff here

  • Too bad the street fighter 6 amiibos and switch online controllers are not included in the sale…

  • Why am I reaching for a plush when I need to wipe my ass?

    • Not machine washable either. Disease bob-omb.

    • Is it for toilet paper, or paper towels? Bit confused

      • Depends on the size of your ass

You fill them with toilet paper, but you don't actually use them in toilets.

In East Asian and some South East Asian cultures, it's pretty common to use TP all around the house, because it's much cheaper than buying boxed tissues.

You of course use different rolls of TP for the toilet versus general use around the house, which is why you see these sorts of novelty holders.
