First time poster so sorry if I’ve made any mistakes, seems like a great deal to me. The next cheapest retailer I could find is selling it for $210. The images aren’t the best in the listing but seems to be legit looking through the reviews, is also sold through Amazon AU & has one day delivery.

Yes some might find the neg display hard to read but Camel average is $249.87 plus it's solar so I will give it a vote.
However as a comparison you can buy the much more legible GBD200 (MIP display) for $167 but not solar.
Yes it's also Bluetooth (not mentioned yet) which is why the module is good as I mentioned, all except good except the negative display is poo.
Guess they just have to try it out and free returns like I did. No doubt you've seen a negative vs a negative MIPS in person.
Trade off either way but it's pointless getting something you can't read the time off at a quick glance (which is why I still got the GBD-200). Was going to mod the display to positive but found a rare module that came like it.
Here's what they look like, and this was a good shot.

Had the same too and could barely read it. Ended up replacing the LCD. The B5600 series watches are compatible with these STN positive/negative LCDs (10.99 GBP + freight) as used on GMWB5000, it's the same module after all.
I personally don't mind the negative display at all.
To me a watch is more of a fashion accessories these days than a vital piece for checking time (I have my phone for that lol).
For me Negative > Positive purely for the looks ;)
YMMV ofc.
That's funny, a piece of black plastic is hardly a good fashion look, you'd be better off getting a chunky cool looking G-Shock in that case, or any other fashion watch.
Well I prefer the "look" of a negative display more, it makes me happy when looking at it (not necessarily at the time thou :D)
@mg_k: That's all good and the main thing is you like it - so pull the trigger pal.
Ps. Wasn't worth a neg, trying to help cnts out.
@G-Shock: Not buying as I already own this - https://amzn.asia/d/67ppxQD
I'm merely defending the negative display, but yes I totally agree the positive or MIP display has much better readability for people actually checking time with their G Shock.
Btw the neg didn't come from me :)
@mg_k: that one looks good - too easy.
Yeah i know some people love them. They are still alright but i could barely read the blue one.
I've got a GBD200 as well.@G-Shock: I also purchased this one from Japan for ~$170 aud and I absolutely love it!!
How's the GBD200? It has been sitting in my wish list for months waiting for a price drop (it went as low as $13x on Amazon a while back….am hoping that price will come back eventually :P).
@mg_k: That's pretty good, squares are the best ones!
I got this one in 2023, Camo green, the module is pretty rare - solar, positive & bluetooth, was a bit over $220 from City Beach at the time.
https://shockbase.org/watches/watch_dyn.php?model=GW-B5600MG…Also got a DW5000R-1A, best re-creation of the OG - basic features but premium feel, steel case and screw on case back.
I like the GBD200 display, don't like all the 'smart' stuff and cluster to operate - sucks the slow navigating through the screens if you hit the wrong button. Good if you just set and leave it though. Yes they can be had for about $135, don't pay over $150!
just bought a GWM5610U, got rid of the smart watch, going classic.
this one looks sick, but the negative display is a main concern when it comes gshocks…..
GWM5610U is a no brainer, could be had for about 170-180. Not that hard changing a battery every 3-5y. Classic and best colour.
Great watch but shit visibility. I bought this one before and returned it because its shockingly hard to see. I have the solar non bluetooth one, which is great. I thought I would want to upgrade to bluetooth but it keeps time so well that you hardly ever need to adjust it, and when you do adjust the time it takes a few seconds which prettty much negates why you would ever want bluetooth. I recommend buying a plastic steel composite band from aliexpress as the resin band that comes with these gshocks are not very comfortable.
The one pictured isn't even solar but everything else seems right so should be fine. Pretty good price, I'd get it over the blue one.
Yeah noticed that too but the product details says tough solar
It also has Bluetooth, better than multiband 6, especially in Aus. Also much easier setting up the watch using the app instead of the buttons.

Nice find, Op should add this to the title.
No bluetooth and multiband like the GW-B5600.
But $129 is still good price for the solar G-5600UE-1DR even though they have the wrong photos showing a DW-5600UE-1ER instead.
illegible face final boss
I had one of these, great module but can't recommend negative display (unless it's MIPS). Even in the photo you can't read it easily.
Only looks good in bright sunlight however those interested could still test it out (and Amazon free returns).
