Agreed! Would never go 4gb or less for a non apple tablet again. Even for kids tablets, 4gb RAM is just painful imo.
I know that 4gb is very looked down upon nowadays but as a budget friendly option for someone who only really wants to take notes, annotate pdf files and binge youtube/netflix etc., is this still good? Any other options that people will recommend for ~$200 as well?

I bought my kiddo a 4GB Samsung A9+ Tablet on sale for <$200 before and it works well enough for all of this. It does get choppy from time to time so you need to make sure you don't leave apps open in apps drawer if you need the ram back to speed it up.
chrome and youtube app loves to draw a lot of memory.
When using just using it for video streaming and all it's responsive enough and does the job I need it to do so no issues from me here.
You can definitely feel and tell the difference though between the budget tablets and mid/high end ones from daily use (not even talking about screen quality). I don't think much of it as long as you come in with the right expectations.

If it's for basic notes and drawings the Lenovo. If you plan to get better and do more. The iPad is way more capable and powerful. Get a case and compatible Apple pencil from eBay.
$300 gets lots more spec wise on AliExpress
Agreed I bought a couple of alldocube iplay60pros from ali. But there's no warranty and reliability can be hit and miss - so far both going well. Depends on individual use case, their current mobile device type and comfort level with android vs apple.
After checking online availability, and driving to 4 Aldi stores all to be advised that stock sold out yesterday..so about 1/4 tank of fuel, I am guttered.. Happy for any suggestions for a Tab with stylus that isn't $10000 but have about $400au to spend. Thanks in advance
