These Labgrown Diamond posts seem more like just using OzB for free adz than an actual bargain.

    • of course with the right tools

yeah - but would my wife be able to tell?
        (just asking for a friend)

I just told mine it's lab grown. Does it really matter?

@shiprekt: "I'm sorry this doesn't come stained with he blood of African children."

          • @shiprekt: I think you misunderstood. They were asking for a friend.

@Oh Daddy: The old wife divorce will cost him more than a real diamond, just keep her and get the diamond.

            • @Oh Daddy: 100% I proposed to mine with a $60 Amazon ring whilst we were on a trip. Got her the ring afterwards and she was like even just this cheap one is perfect.

              She's a winner.

              • @shiprekt: My man! I did with a Mickey mouse Pandora ring and got one made later

        • I think the big giveaway will be a huge 2k diamond with almost no imperfections !

Does your 'friends' missus have fake bags? good to go.

Does your 'friends' missus only where name brands….avoid!

@tunzafun001: I don't think she has the tools to see that close and notice any imperfections, or you would at least hope so.

My Mrs didn't care, she was happy to get a lab grown diamond. 🤷‍♂️

@itsmoe: You massively underestimate the modern female 'wolf pack'…that ring will undergo more scrutiny than a Royal Commission!

… and well done on the Mrs. She's a keeper!

              • @tunzafun001: Yeh 100% agree, my Mrs is straight up, anyone that says anything out of line, she will put them in their place. 😂

Thanks bro, I hope you have found the one, if not, I hope you do.

        • yeah - but would my wife be able to tell?
          (just asking for a friend)

Why exactly does your friend care whether your wife can tell 😏

      • With only very sophisticated tools. Your casual jewellery won't be able to tell the difference , they can only match the serial number and differentiate

Not by the naked eye. By all metrics they're just diamonds. Albeit too perfect of an internal structure to be natural.

There seems to be an overall distaste for lab growns on ozb but they're chemically identical to the ones pulled from the ground and a fraction of the price. Diamonds are a giant scam and they're not even that rare.

100%, just like the rest of the shopping and marketing shit they push on consumers especially women.

We have noticed that some users tend to leave negative comments on all jewelry store deals. We totally understand that jewelry deals are not for everyone; if you’re not interested in this category, that’s absolutely fine.

But posting negative comments on every jewelry store post doesn’t really help the community. OzBargain is about sharing genuine discounts, and for those who are actually in the market for diamond jewelry, a 35% OFF IGI-certified piece with free delivery & GST included is definitely a bargain.

We respect all opinions, but let’s keep it fair for users who may genuinely find value here. 🙏

We are Registered Australian Small Business setting our Foot. We have always delivered value to our customers.

    Hi OP, re:

'We are Registered Australian Small Business … (etc.)'

Are these diamonds made in Australia?

    • +1

China seems to have the monopoly on synthetic diamond production…

Whats the ring without the gem likely worth?

2ct diamond is too big for the avg.

        Need a 1 or 1.5 max

    • Australia doesn't have the skills or tools to do it. Most diamonds are made in China etc and cut and polished in India.

  • Diamond lol the biggest scam.
