Motorola Moto Tag 4 Pack $108 (Was $133) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store) @ Harvey Norman

70

Looks like they dropped the price again from $134 to $108 for a 4 pack.

The Android Find My Device supported Bluetooth Tracker. Currently within Australia the Moto Tag's firmware does not support UWB so you have to download the APK of the international Moto Tag App and then update firmware from there. Afterwards it'll support the UWB Finding.

Will these then work with any Android phone the same way an AirTag does? Or is the Find My network still hamstrung?

    • This appears to be the best Android AirTag equivilent from what I can read from reviews. The Find My Network is still not as good as the iPhone one though from my undersstanding as the Find Hub settings default settings are less aggressive than the iPhone.

      • As far as I can see, UWB alredy works on the current soaftware - Latest: 01.00.073.14-Release on August 12, 2025 EST. Just received a firware update too.

        • Can confirm. I sideloaded a week or so ago that allowed it to work but then a google store update was published that included an even higher firmware version that enabled UWB.

Motorola finally release the latest MotoTag in the Australia Play Store and you can update the Moto Tag with UWB now officially.

  • I'm just surprised nobody has mentioned these RSH Tags from AliExpress

I've got them for about $4 and they work with "Find Hub" on Android.

    • You sent a link to a picture. Do these have UWB?

  • Unfortunately to take the full advantage of these tags you need a phone that supports UWB, not many android phones support it.

With UWB now available these are now decent. Same dimensions as airtags so all accessories/holders fit fine.
I found the find hub shows last seen "near home" or "near Spare Room" when not in range of phone a nice extra feature I didn't anticipate (I have nest speakers and displays in each room that contribute to the network)
I have a moto tag on my cats collar in addition to a generic airtag knockoff that just acts as a ble beacon with espresense. Airtags and the moto tag change their mac address and therefore can't be used with espresense unfortunately. My initiall testing the last week or two suggests the find network isn't as good as the apple network at least around my neighbourhood. As others have said the default setting for Android devices isn't as aggressive.

    • Would you say that these are still decent (compared to Tile), even if you don't have a UWB-compatible phone like the Pixel 9?
