Hey Oz Bargain Community,

We love continuing to discover new coffees from new regions of the world we've yet to feature, so we can share them with you. It's time for the second leg of our Southeast Asian coffee adventure. Let's talk about Vietnam. Please forget what you've heard, forget what you've read about coffee grown in Vietnam for just one moment. For a country that only seriously delved into the Specialty Grade Arabica market in 2017 they are punching well about their weight (hats off to them) compared to more established Special Grade growing regions of the world. Now just imagine the wonderful, refreshing acidity kick of our Washed Kenya Nyeri Single Origin, the fruitiness of our Colombia Cauca Single Origin, the subtle Floral Note of a Geisha coffee and the sweetness, caramel and chocolate notes of our Peru Chanchamayo Single Origin were all combined in a perfectly balance way to form one magnificent Single Origin…that amazing, delicious combo Single Origin would be our Vietnam Sơn La and this deal celebrates its launch. If that description sounds a tad out there for anyone or you're someone who enjoys milk with their coffee (as we're roasting this Single Origin on the lighter side of Medium so it's best enjoyed as a black coffee), no stress, we've got you covered by also featuring our sweet, delicious Apple Crumble Blend in this deal!

We're offering you a 40% discount off this wonderful, exciting Vietnam Sơn La Single Origin and for those who are keen for a more familiar option we're also offering 40% off our delicious, crowd favourite Apple Crumble Blend, more details below:

1) Apple Crumble Blend, only $31.50 per 1kg (usually $52.50 per 1kg) and $18.15 per 500g (usually $30.25 per 500g)

2) Vietnam Sơn La Single Origin, only $31.50 per 1kg (usually $52.50 per 1kg) and $18.15 per 500g (usually $30.25 per 500g)

Deal valid for orders placed until Tuesday 26/08/2025, unless sold out before. Dispatch can happen for you as near as Friday and as far as the last Tuesday in September (30/09/2025) for our Vietnam Sơn La Single Origin and for our Apple Crumble Blend as near as Friday and as far as the last Tuesday in December (30/12/2025). Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

  • Thanks will try.
Just got back from Indonesia and really enjoyed their Gayo natural and wine processed beans.

    • Fantastic @dajackal thank you so much for your terrific order, it's truly appreciated!

Wonderful, always exciting to go on a bit of a coffee adventure while abroad, well at least I think it is :)

      • Any chance they're on your radar at all?

        • +1

Not currently actively looking for them, but we're on the look out for more special Single Origins to feature, so you never know your luck :)

  • Free shipping for orders over $69.

    There’s the catch.

    • -1

That's only 3.5Kg of beans…I see nothing wrong with this picture. ;-)

      • +1

Did you mean 2.5 kgs for free shipping?

        • It also kind of depends if you get 500g bags or 1kg bags.
Depending on my order I sometimes switch to 500g bags to scrape over the free shipping line.

Lime is still my go to, none of the other Ozbargain "regulars" have impressed me.

        • Oh, yeah. In my excitement I forgot how to math. :D

  • Hi OP. Diggin' the Apple Crumble Blend and just ordered 1KG again. 👍

    • Woohoo @pacificstorm thank you so much for that terrific vote of confidence and another order, both of which are truly appreciated :)

Music to my ears to know Apple Crumble is your Jam!

      • Apple Crumble is your Jam!

Well would prefer strawberry but yeah!

        • haha woohoo for my 5/10 quality double pun still landing :)

  • Does anyone have any recommendations for blends that pair well with milk?
    Thanks!

    • Hey @GordyPantz always better to ask than wonder!

Out of the coffees featured in this deal, our Apple Crumble Blend should be the winner for you :)

  • I would like to try the apple crumble but I don't have a grinder. Are you able to grind the beans for me before sending them? I use it at work so it's not possible to grind my beans fresh. Do let me know! :)

    • Get this grinder. Use current available coupons. Grind it yourself. Really should be its own post but cbf.

    • Hey @bang4buckenthusiast appreciate you reaching out to check!

At present we're exclusively dispatching orders as whole beans, but you should be able to get a small portable grinder online without breaking the bank with the added bonus of grinding fresh yourself improving your coffee experience tenfold compared to using pre-ground :)

I have tried the Apple Crumble Blend and what I find is: Moments2Memories & Half Strength require a nearly identical grind size but Apple Crumble seems to need it much finer.
I'm already at the lowest setting of my SGP.

    Any guidance?

    • +1

Hey @freedomofspeech appreciate the check in!

Each coffee is nuanced in it's own way and may need grinder setting tweak, however the grind required for Moments compared to Apple shouldn't be too drastic and I wouldn't recommend using the finest setting on the SGP as it'll just wear down the motor and likely not have great extraction results. It may seem counter intuitive but you likely need to go coarser as too fine will result in under extraction via channelling, otherwise dose needs adjusting or it's time for a new set of burrs. If you don't mind me asking what espresso machine do you have?

Breville Barista Pro… If I don't run it on grind size 1/2/3, the pressure is too low and coffee output too high

e/ I'm using a naked protafilter and getting a single stream of coffee, roughly 40g out for 20g in at 25-27s

        • +2

          Very helpful, thank you!

Your machine uses a 54mm basket which is best suited to a 16 gram dose, try a lower does as 20 grams is likely building up too much pressure resulting in the water bypassing the coffee to relieve the pressure. Coffee can do strange things sometimes and hit the scale marks yet be way off with the extraction, my guess is on a 20 grams dose you're getting a bit of a watery, sour shot and not so crash hot crema…lower the dose, most likely use a coarser grind, still go for the 1:2 ratio (16 in:32 out: 27 seconds contact) and hopefully you'll get a delicious shot with wonderful crema :)

  • @LimeBlueCoffee will the coffee be roasted in lime with dispatch date only? If I choose dispatch date for 3 weeks from now, just want to make sure theyll only be roasted right before dispatch?

    • +1

Hey @Bokky always better to ask than wonder!

As per the some helpful info section of this post, "You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 72 business hours of roasting" AKA your order will be roasted around the time it's dispatched, so it'll be nice and fresh :)

Any plans to bring "Nectar of the Gods" back? Havent seen it for a while!

    • +1

Hey @abu77 always better to ask than wonder!

It's been continually available since we launched it, it just hasn't be featured in a deal recently, but it's always available for you to get when you want it :)

  • Any Brazil SO deals coming up? Cheers

    • +1

Hey @helpmehelpyou never hurts to ask!

We tend to focus on one deal at a time, so at present I honestly don't know when our Brazil will next be featured in a deal. If you're about to run out of the good stuff, perhaps you could get a small bag to tie you over at regular price and then make the most of our deal pricing by utilising our unique scheduled/delayed dispatch feature the next time we feature our Brazil SO :)

  • I have tried the puru and the brazil beans.
Puru is our goto. Very nice coffee.

    • WOW what a terrific, uplifting vote of confidence @In5tag8r thank you so much for your fantastic orders and wonderful support, they're both truly appreciated!

Fantastic to know you've found your go to favourite amongst our options :)

  • " make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 72 business hours of roasting" that is awesome, is the roast date printed on the packaging?

    • +1

      Always.

      • :)

    • +1

Hey @existence89 terrific to hear we've caught your eye and fresh dispatch system is a winner for you!
