  • Keen for any thoughts on this. Normally use meguiars.

      303 are fantastic products!

What about on that vegan leather crap?

        • +1

          Works fine with vinyl…

          • +3

@xuqi: Yes, vegan leather is just a modern version of my old Kingswood’s vinyl seating.

But as an owner of cars with both, and one with real leather, markedly better. Than old vinyl tech at least (although AC might be the real game changer so Mrs Entropy in a mini skirt doesn’t get her legs stuck to the seat anymore). Not so sure about real leather.

            • -1

@entropysbane: 'Real' leather is a tricky issue these days. Most are bonded etc.

Real leather may be present in those very high end cars. Rolls or Bentley etc. Maybe Maybach.

        I’m getting 404 not 303

  • Thanks Hamz. Can anyone advice me on a good car washing shampoo as well please?

    • +1

Bowden's Own have a good range. Finish with their afterglow spray and big softie cloths and you get great results with minimal effort.

      • I wouldn't consider Afterglow + Big Softie as minimal effort. Great result certainly.

Minimal effort I would consider Boss Gloss + Twisted Pro Sucker.

    • +1 Bowden’s. Nanolicious is their flagship wash and probably the best I’ve ever used.

    Price matching Repco clearance.

Looks like repco are clearing out their 303 car care range. Some decent bargains and in stock at my local. Cheers hamza

  • Thanks Hamza, got one. Will use it for my leather couch. My car isn't fancy, no leather seats.

    • +1

Don't feel bad. Most cars don't use leather anyway. Just quality plastic that looks like leather.

      • +1

Yes, made from fossil fuel from long dead plants and animals rather than Bess the Hereford.

  • -1

Are these leather products meant to be for real leather? Or does it help with fake shit as well?

    • it says leather & vinyl

      • Thanks.. i actually didn’t know vinyl is another name for faux leather used in cars until i looked it up.

        • +1

          Tesla call it vegan leather.

    • +1

The outer layer of "real leather" in cars is just plastic anyway. These products are usually just an all-purpose cleaner with some leathery smelling perfumes.

This 3-in-1 product also claims UV protect so it probably has the stuff they put in their protectant as well. It's also explicitly not suitable for actual, unprotected leather eg: couches.

      • I agree.

I also hypothesise that cars have huge amount of nano plastics which we breath in. :)

      • Dont they say its not suitable for untreated ones like suede ? I was actually going to give it a try on my leather couch. I got a really good used harvey norman leather couch recently which I really dont want to damage if its not suitable ..do you recommend some good cleaners for them?

  • +2

Good shit this is. The bottle lasts forever. Bought one on sometime in 2022 and presently still using it.

  • +4

Use this along with 303 Aerospace Protectant and your car will look brand new from inside

  • This stuff smells amazing

  • -1

Just use normal hair conditioner for leather

  • Cheers OP, got a couple. I swear by 303s Aerospace protectant but I've never tried their leather stuff.

  • +1

Out of stock on Amazon. Just clicked and collected from Repco.

    • Same here

  • +6

Cheers OP, grabbed the last one from my local. A fine addition to my cupboard full of car care products I never get around to using.

10.70 by supercheap price beat. Thanks OP

      Savage

    • I was gonna say I'm late to the party until I saw this. Thanks

      • Chat rep said as it's a competitor clearance item they can't price beat. Do you have the code they provided?

        • I don't have the time to pricebeat yet. Maybe @raj76 can help.

          • +1

@Mild October: They added the code after I had added the item to my cart

        • Reload the chat, they do not have any history of the previous chat, so get someone who will do it for you

    • They declined my price beat request due to being a clearance item. I’ve just ordered from Repco instead!

      • Nearest available store is 20km drive, dang.

  • Clean your car leather with regular automotive all-purpose cleaner. The stuff you sit on is plastic anyway. If you want UV protection use their Protectant product (commonly known as 303 Aerospace).

  • Thanks, grabbing a couple items from Repco.

  • How shiny is this one? I prefer matte.

  • I am warming up to 303. I used their graphene coating and quite like it. Not suitable for beginners however.

  • Get it from Super cheap with price beat

    • They are not matching saying it's a clearance product

      • I matched and got it for $10

        • Good for you.. I tried online chat.. Didn't work

  • I use 303 on my 304

  • A quote from one reviewer…. I think I’ll pass. My white Tesla seats clean up fine with ‘no chemical’ wet wipes. Also a heads up for those who don’t like to use harsh chemicals on their cars.

I am mildly concerned with the statement that says the product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects.

    • No chemical wet wipes means just water? Which would be H2O. Definitely a chemical. Those wipes also release heaps of microplastic which are also chemicals. Some nano plastics will be breathed in by yourself also.

Excess H2O will definitely put you in hospital. One of friends drank 9L in a few hours and found out the hard way. :)

      • Yep, need to be careful about that Dihyrogen monoxide:
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF1nwuRFD3w

        • Maybe monooxygen hydride.

To be fair, most cleaning can be done with magic cleaner (which will give you plumes of nano plastics) and water. Can't avoid chemicals though.

    • which chemical do you mean ? do you have a link showing its harmful defects?

      • It's made in US… They use that legislated disclaimer as a catch all warning for California residents, which is cheaper than actually testing the product for the absence of harmful substances. That's not to say it's healthy for you, but yeah …

  • No longer available at the reduced price on Amazon.

    • Yep, as per title and bolded description since yesterday.

  • +1

Amazon back in stock but probably not much

    • Gone again.

  • Personally I dont have good experience with those products including surface protectant as they leave smear on my front windscreen after a while, it is paint in the butt to degrease.
