I believe this is the cheapest way to get it on Switch 2.

    • Short of an EB free rental or going to the library.

      • Thats exactly what I did.

      • So physical works? I assumed it didn't.

Edit: Read the comments below, the more you know.

        • I got lucky with timing, I'd bought a Switch Lite and 4 games (one of which was Hogwarts) for a hundred bucks on Marketplace and was going to hold onto it until my birthday 50% came in (ended up using it for a trade two deal instead) and then I saw the upgrade deal thing and snagged that before trading it in. The Switch 2 upgrade should be free.

The bigger bargain is borrowing (friend/library) or buying the cartridge…
    Doing the upgrade….
    Then, returning the cartridge..
Apparently Hog Leg on Switch 2 "upgrade" is just a full DL of the digital game with no associated licence check back to the 1st/SW1 version.

Did this just after the Switch launch and it worked flawlessly

I did this using EB Games 7 day return policy.

Good game for 6-year-olds who like to watch a bunch of 12-year-olds talk non-stop about magic and wave their magic wand once in a while.

    • and 'wave their magic wand' once in a while

Some of us still do this as adults - as a party trick, etc

Looks pretty bad on switch 1.

  • Charging $14.95 for the Switch 2 version is a scam.
