It's a clone, but still a good deal for a local product and easy returns if you have issues.

        • theres a wiki for sellers that sell clones from aliexpress.
usual thing is OS support and SD cards.

Here's the R36S wiki page, heaps of useful information:

  • Not sure if it the same as I the one I bought a couple weeks ago, looks like its a clone. Tried to update to the most recent ArkOS with a new flashed SD card and it just gives a blinking red light which I think means just isn't compatible. Tried the other EmuElec OS and that gives a blue light with a backlit screen with no response. I kind of wish I just spent a bit more now because now this thing just sits on my desk taunting me and because I'm stupid I keep coming back to it trying to get it going.

Someone on Reddit got ArkOS going.

    • Might be an issue with your dtb file (clone manufacturers use different panels which might not work with the dtb in the image). Try replacing the dtb on your boot partition (try each one until it works) from here:

    • I read that if you're trying to use a SanDisk SD card it won't work. Dunno if you are, but thought it worth mentioning with how regularly they get posted here
